  1. What is the dimensions of the 150 at the shop?
  2. Actually 2am is about when I get home from work, lol and when I do my nightly check up on the tank. Lol. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  3. I have noticed my Scopus tang nipping at a half dead purple sea fan, but I'm sure he was eating the algae on the tips. I am pretty sure my Foxface was eating my polyps for a while but then stopped.
  4. Chris you are asking for me right, since you know you want me in the 120 glass class. lol Is the overflow in just in one corner or two?
  5. I apologize if my offer offended you, that was not my intention. My offer was mainly based on the fact that I have spend a fair amount of money on the little sticks I have in my tank and don't really want to spend a lot of money on a really cool fish that I might have to catch, aka tear apart my tank, next weekend because it has started nipping at my corals or my clam. IMO it sounds like you have prob had a few low ball offers besides mine and I believe that is do to the same reasons as mine. There are not a lot of people any more doing FOWLR tanks and are not afraid of "coral eating" fish. I do think Flame Angels are really cool fish and just because someone low balls you on a risky fish doesn't mean the fish will not be well taken care of. And again I am not aiming to offend you in anyway, I will actually PM you shortly with a better offer, aka my wife really likes Flame Angels also.
  6. I have several sitting around the house, but I fill up a 5 gallon jug then carry the jug into my house and dump it into my 5 gallon ATO bucket. This is my "transfer" jug. http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-16915/Jugs/F-Style-Jugs-5-Gallon-Natural?pricode=WZ494&gadtype=pla&id=S-16915&gclid=Cj0KEQjwyK-vBRCp4cymxermx-EBEiQATOQgh71ZssDy5mArZnO1f10JPmKQuarItvjXvFVBCvRnVAMaAtwR8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
  7. Would you take $20 if my wife lets me. lol.
  8. Have you noticed it ever nip at coral?
  9. If not able to replace tank or get professionally fixed, what I would do is, this is all my opinion as a cheap DIYer. ~Use bar claps, front to back on each side of the brace. **USING EXTREME CAUTION. Let it bow just slightly. This will come in handy later.** ~Cut out the old broken glass, and clean area VERY well. The cleaner the better. ~Measure the inside of the of the glass, on one of the sides. ~Have a piece of 1/4" glass cut to the size you need. Also either have the sides sanded or do it yourself. **Next few steps need to be done fairly quickly.** ~Using proper silicone, run a good sized bead under the plastic rim. ~Prep the new glass by running a small bead of silicone on the edges that will contact the front and back, use your finger to smooth it out to cover the whole edge. ~Angle the glass and place the new brace inside the tank up against the bottom of the plastic rim, place the front edge first then slide the back into place. The slight bow will help with this. ~Once the glass is in place use a piece of PVC or something aquarium safe to push up on the new brace keeping it in place during curing/drying time. ~This is where the slight bow comes in handy, with the glass in place tighten the claps so the tank sides are as flat as you can get, snug up to the brace. ~Lastly run a good bead of silicone around the brace and smooth it out with your finger. **Let it dry/cure for at least a week just to make sure its done** Once everything has setup and dried measure the middle of the tank then slowly remove the claps watching and measuring the deflection.
  10. how many stages are you running on your RO/DI unit?
  11. Why do all the good sales have to be so far away. So want the pump and I know someone that could use the lights.
  12. Wife and I just had our anniversary last weekend so we are broke now.
  13. I picked up some BRS color changing from TPA about a year ago and I am still getting 0-TDS out of my unit, but my water is only at a high of 24-TDS from tap. My usage is about 5 gal. top off water every two weeks, and 5 gal. monthly water change, so about 200 gallons threw it. I also manually flush my membrane every time I use the unit, maybe 5 gal for the year. I also have a tendency to forget about water being on, luckily my unit is in my garage. Was on almost 8 hours, while I was at work, on one day till my wife got home and turned the water off. So all in all I've prob ran 300 gallons threw my unit and still getting a 0-TDS out of it.
  14. I have a lightly used EcoPlus 100, if its big enough you can have it.
  15. If your school has a wood shop maybe you could get that teacher involved also and make it into a whole school project. Maybe if you have a biology class also they could help with the testing and other stuff that might benefit they're learning also. I reason I say if you have these classes is because I don't know what level of school you are referencing, elementary? middle school? high school?
  16. What percentages are your channels at tho? Mine are at I think 20% CH1 (whites) and 35% CH2 (blues) but my lights are only 7" off the water surface, and that's as high as I can get them in my hood, and they still seem to bright for some of my corals.
  17. Mine have been hosted by Xenia for a long time now. I think the coral like it, the fish keep them clean.
  18. Maybe someone would be willing to make a stand, if I still had the left overs from my stand build I would help but the has gone to other projects.
  19. Ill go second on the adoption is the owners aren't found. My wife and I had a small parrot once and ever since it died she has really wanted a new one, just price most pet stores want for them is crazy.
  20. What do you have your lights set at and how high are they off the water? I got some T247s not to long ago and some of my corals still seem to not like how bright they are.
  21. I like the Flame Angel but I don't want to risk my clam or SPS.
  22. I use an aqualifter pump for my ATO, cheap and I don't have to worry about it running dry.
  23. blue lined notebook paper works good to find where a leak is coming from, as it soaks up the water the lines with run towards the source of the leak. Maybe place a piece under the bulk head and up against the bottom rim of the sump where you think it might be leaking.
