First grow-out comp and I'm pumped! Thanks, Brian, for settin' this up! The ric is currently in my frag tank and will stay in there until the end of the comp. Frag tank system: 2 DIY tanks, 40gal each, both are serviced by a 40gal DIY sump. Mag 18 return pump. Bubble Magus Curve 5 for my protein skimmer. Unknown name calcium reactor. DIY ATS scrubber. I run 4 black boxes for lights. No light schedule, just whenever I wake up, I turn them on, I turn them off before I go to bed. Manually dose nothing as of a month ago. I struggled with the same thought, as well. So, what I normally do is, have them hold it until I have enough corals where shipping is worth it amongst 7 to 10 corals. But yeah, shipping sucks, hahaha Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

Definitely, an old test kit giving false results would be frustrating! In my case, I tested with red sea and also with salifert (brand new) and both gave pretty much identical results. Been having to dose more and more mag, as of late. Been dosing 2ml of Tech M daily. When doing so, mag, pretty much stays put at 1400. Calc at 460, Alk at 8.4. This morning, mag was at 1350ish. Agreed with Brian67... I added acrylic baffles to a spare 55g, I had 2 years ago. I just used the GE 100% silicone clear (don't get the one that's mildew resistant). It's the sump I use for my frag tanks. Still going strong! Just a side note: glass to acrylic works well with silicone, IME. Acrylic to acrylic, I've never tried. Good luck and have fun!
