Hi Karen, This old timer is still in the hobby
The fragging tools would be great! Canister and nori clip too I could put to use. Heck the scraper too, those are the best...

Reaching out to this smart community for ideas on this whacky concept
Goal: Gather ideas on some kind of outdoor pond that can also be used for testing fishing lures at home.
Background:
My daughter has some pet small mouth bass, currently in stock tanks.
I would like to get them into a pond.
We also love testing out fishing lures at home, much easier than loading up the boat and launching.
Helpful Characteristics:
- An acrylic viewing panel on one side to see into the pond for fish and lures
- A deck on one side at least, to walk on while testing lures (simulate motion)
Any thoughts / ideas are welcome, just brainstorming!

Do you make your own tubing?
I should, but life is busy, so I way overpaid for some premade

I'm looking for a wall mount or bracket for this stepper pump. Anyone seen something that will work?
That's a good idea. Send me a dm, maybe we can make something that will work if nothing is available out there.

Nice pickup! Love removing the variable of random flow fluctuations from the equation.
I have a couple of the Kamoer FXP-STP2.
Get spare pump head rollers and replacement tubing, just so you are ready! They do eventually rupture so a spare is a must.
Mine hasn't gone yet, but murphy says it will be when we are on vacation or something. That is why I have two (of almost everything) so that it is easy for a tank sitter to swap out.
If you have an flow meter such as APEX, it can alert if the flow goes to zero and the pump is on, which is also handy.

Aptasia eating filefish showed up at our local fish store in town. I picked one up. He did a great job...
Now I gotta get him from the frag to the DT for a few weeks, then off to a new home!

If you get another pack 1, I would be interested, thanks!

Stunning stuff, the guy sure knows his SPS!

Here it is! He built it out of a BRS clear container and a spare mag float. Genius! Go down to about the middle of this thread to the pics and it is visible.

what kind of fish trap did you use?
I have a clear acrylic one. @badxgillen in this club posted a long time ago about a killer home made one. Quick easy and cheap. If only I could find it...

One thing I just did last night, this worked on an aggressive clown tang.
Put a mirror on the other side of the glass, so that it is only viewable from inside the trap. This brought him in better than food.
Off the sump for now until he gets a new home!

I have had decent luck lately with aptasia eating filefish lately (cheaper). If mine ever finishes the job in the DT, will put him up for adoption here...
