  1. Hi Karen, This old timer is still in the hobby :) :)

The fragging tools would be great!  Canister and nori clip too I could put to use.  Heck the scraper too, those are the best...

  2. Reaching out to this smart community for ideas on this whacky concept :)

Goal:  Gather ideas on some kind of outdoor pond that can also be used for testing fishing lures at home.

    Background:

My daughter has some pet small mouth bass, currently in stock tanks.

I would like to get them into a pond.

We also love testing out fishing lures at home, much easier than loading up the boat and launching.

    Helpful Characteristics:

    - An acrylic viewing panel on one side to see into the pond for fish and lures

    - A deck on one side at least, to walk on while testing lures (simulate motion)

Any thoughts / ideas are welcome, just brainstorming!

  3. Nice pickup!  Love removing the variable of random flow fluctuations from the equation.

I have a couple of the Kamoer FXP-STP2.

Get spare pump head rollers and replacement tubing, just so you are ready!  They do eventually rupture so a spare is a must.

Mine hasn't gone yet, but murphy says it will be when we are on vacation or something.  That is why I have two (of almost everything) so that it is easy for a tank sitter to swap out.

If you have an flow meter such as APEX, it can alert if the flow goes to zero and the pump is on, which is also handy.

  4. One thing I just did last night, this worked on an aggressive clown tang.

Put a mirror on the other side of the glass, so that it is only viewable from inside the trap.  This brought him in better than food.

Off the sump for now until he gets a new home!
