  1. Ah bummer, at least you tried your best. It happens unfortunately!
  2. Bumped to 80. Coral looks slightly better, could be wishful thinking. Thanks for the replies!
  3. Bummer! I loved sand at first, but now kinda hate it as it has killed allot of coral. I have pretty fine sand though. Guys with the heavier stuff seem to do better than me.
  4. RW15 sounds great to me also. The 20s are going are probably going to be too much, even turned down. I love having 'head room' in a powerhead, because as coral grows and blocks things you have the option to up the flow.
  5. I just run mine on a timer (happens to be apex but any low cost timer will do the job). No dimming required. It is a cool feature but did not equate to a 'must' for me personally. Reefstar loaner program is a killer deal, doesn't hurt to try right?
  6. They do look very cool, I definitely considered these. The price is good and the features, cables included. I am using wannareefs cables hooked to my apex. It is great, but the apex has no easy concept of else mode, so I run a pretty predictable set of profiles every hour.
  7. Definitely JR he could have picked up that half yard without a second thought! Great year regardless...
  8. Due to bulb costs alone many have made the switch to LED. Ocean Revive is a great choice, I have no experience with reefstar but hear great things. The full spectrum units on ebay are also good, I have 6 of them here and am quite happy after swapping out a few leds. The are 98 bucks on ebay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141369127540?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Good luck on your hunt!
  9. Mine WP-60 in the frag tank picks up stuff every once in a while, any chance something is stuck on the housing?
  10. Love potters angels, congrats!
  11. Thanks guys. Reason I asked is that this is surprisingly controversial if you google the topic. I am at 78, going to move to 80 after allot of reading.
  12. I have been running 78, how about you?
  13. Rudy had it priced really well! Not a bank breaker
  14. Good point, thanks for the heads up.
  15. Holy smokes, my bad, clicking through reef builder articles I never noticed. Shame on me
  16. Dang good point... that is allot of coral cooking watts, wow!
  17. Jose! Tell me it ain't so. Are you leaving the hobby? The short time I knew you, enjoyed talking reef. Hope this is temporary.
  18. hey thanks I appreciate it. No greater compliment to a reefer right? To be totally honest it has had its ups and downs, recently the ups have been nice. The downs can be a real bummer!
  19. Good to know, thanks. It was funny to see, thought he was dead at first...
  20. Ooo, the fridge autofeeder, always thought that was a great idea. Sounds like you need a build thread for this sucker. Nice to have options, like most of us you too hoard good equipment. My garage now has a special section for reefing
  21. Such a great, great problem to have
