  2. I used my shop vac..but I connect a narrower hose to the end, like a 1/4" one so I can reduced the volume of water being sucked up

  4. When my clowns were babies one of them went down the overflow into the sump, found it in the morning calmly swimming in the sump. That is a lot of fish to dissapear though, when I first started my chromis would hide and I kept thinking I lost them, even moving rocks around to look, they were very good at hiding.
  5. I had that problem on my big shop vac. My solution was to connnet a much smaller tube on the end of the shop vac one and just wrapped a towel around to help keep the suction going to the smaller tube. It greatly reduced the power and allows you to vacuum slower and more accurately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How are your other stats? Mag, Ca, Alk? Coralline is a good sign though. GSP does well in some folks tanks and others can't seem to grow it. I have noticed on all swings my LPS will have some tissue recession and tearing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have a xf-150 on my 75, I have it set to about 30% power surging for 4 seconds or so...the flow is pretty good, but I still get some dead spots on my sandbed. I have it mounted high on one end of the tank, the dead spots are probably due to my rock and coral placement. Very happy so far, it was used as well; and replaced three other wave makers.
  8. I get my big shop vac setup and connect a smaller tube to the end so the there is high suction but low volume, otherwise the water gets drained too quickly. It allows me to vaccum out all that buildup. I prep a water change the day before so I can replace what gets sucked out during the cleaning/.
  9. I have some that is sheet like in my sump...in Keizer

  20. I am posting this up not because I want to get out of the hobby or that things are going bad, but the thought of not having to worry about my tank and corals from day to day sounds good. Leaving the house for a few days wouldn't be a problem any more. This is a package deal for every piece of equipment, test kit, rock, fish, coral the whole shebang. Some of the colonies are from the very beginning of my reef journey and have been fragged many times. 75 gal marineland tank Hardwood stand and canopy 2 Arctic t247's Maxspect Gyre 150 20 gal multichamber acrylic sump Jebao DP4 doser Jebao 9000 DC return pump 300 watt finnex titanium heater Tunze Oso 3152 ATO Vertex Omega 130 Protein Skimmer Approximately 80 lbs of live rock with many full encrusted coral colonies Variety of test kits Refractomer Coral propagation tools Tunze Care magnet cleaner 1/2 bucket of Reef crystals RODI filter w/ membrane upgrade to up output 45 gal brute can for RODI storage Melanarus Wrasse Yellow Tang Blue Tang Chromis Ocellaris Clowns (pair) Variety of Hermits Variety of Snails Sea cucumber Basically anything I have that's reef related. I am not interested in parting it out at all. I know with Christmas coming this could be a hard sell, but I am willing to wait for the right buyer to come along. Feel free to send me a PM for a phone number if interested or would like to see any pictures, I have a thread dedicated to this tank on the forum as well.
