I have lots of small polyps that are opening on mine but I need to know what we are defining as nubs if it opens even small is that a polyp or a nub?

Looking good. I love plumbing in tanks I think its one of my favorite parts of a new tank build. You two did an exellent job on the plumbing =)

$1/gallon sale and dog food are bout the only good things about a petco imo.

Turn off the light in the kitchen =) Also if you take the picture silightly elevated looking down through the front glass a an agle might help =) However those are some killer pics as is =)

Made a few mods to my over flow today and as per my norm I was so into the work I forgot to take any pictures =) I put a cap on the one inch drain and then drilled several 3/8 inch holes on the stand pipe just below the cap I also lowered the emergency over flow hight so it can kick in sooner in an emergency. Then I removed the ball valve and the ribbedflex drain line from the one inch main drain and put in a gate valve with some smooth black flexible drain line. Now my herbie drain is completely silent no water fall sound no air bubble no toilets nothing but pure silence I am so happy as my tank is in the living room and needs to be silent to keep the wife happy =) I have not put any thing new in the system lately but am looking for a medium sized silent skimmer to out in my sump. I also want to get a pair of clowns misbar oragne and whites or maybe just some plain old occellaris clowns not to sure but I see a visit to vancouver in my futrue =)

They promissed me at blizzcon last year that it would be early 2012 however to me that would mean befor the end of march however to blizzard that probabaly means June =( I locked in my subsription of world of warcraft for the year any ways so I could get my frre copy when it is released even if its a christmas present by then =)

I am a world of warcraft civ 5 and starcraft 2 junky the only problem I have is that with a baby on th way and a very demanding job I dont have much time left for gaming any more =) Diablo 3 when it ever gets released I will be there =)

I should not be spending any money right now (daz)but I do believe a group nuy on these would be just the ticket (naughty)

I had a simmilar experience with my biocube and was using reef crystals the new salt water was at a acceptable level the fresh water had almost no calcium in it I never did get an acurate measure ment because I stopped testing after I got to thirty drips and had no change I was also using api test kits. My calcium slowly dropped as I did water changes every week it took almost 3 months befor my calcium levels were normal but nothing in my tank seem to be stressed or unhappy with the high levels. I at first thought I had a bogus test kit but for the fact that it would test my fresh make up water acurately and the water from other peoples frag bags. I know this was not a lot of help as to the why but just some one who went through the same thing with out any real ill effects =)

Just a heads up from some one who has been there =) I got some garf a while back and it is good stuff But i would not do as the directions say and dump it straight into the tank as it had a crazzy amount of sediment in it it took several weeks to clear out the mess. It also came with apistaisa in it but what does not these days.

I was havin some trouble with my pictures but I think it solved itself =)

Yeah thats kinda small but the one I got with the set up was way to loud so I need to do some skimmer shopping for a silent skimmer thats rated around 40 gallons. I thought I might try and build one but we will see I am very busy right now might not have the spare tinkering time for that.

And yes those are frag pluggs in the fuge. I needed live rock robble to put in there and the mystery bucket I got at the january meeting had like five pounds of home made frag plugs so I cycled them with the live rock and tossed them in the fuge =)

Ok so much ofr waiting till tomorrow Her are some pictures I snapped tonight. This is my cloudy tank with the moon lights on they are not realy as bright as they look in this picture. Here is my pretty sump all set up and wired up =) The fuge. and a close up of the mod I did to make the biocube skimmer work better it only increases the lift by an inch but thats 25% in a 4 inch skimmer =)

(yahoo) I did it! Just got done moving every thin over to the new set up. Got the stunner stips mounted from my bio cube into the t5 light so that in the space between the bulbs every other one is t5 led t5 led, the leds are also below the t5s a bit to give the heat room to disipate. My hawk fish who looked like a giant in my biocube looks really small in his new home. I will post some pictures tomorrow when the lights are on. I found a really good way to move the sand bed from one tank to another with out stirring up a ton of seddiment using a mason jar it worked great thing got a little cloudy but considering i moved a 5 month old sand bed into the new tank I think it did great. Now it is past my bed time. It really sucks when its 10:15 and I am saying its past my bed time wow well any ways!

How many pounds of food do you go through a month with that many mouths to feed =) Tank is looking awesome!

Ok so I have been about as patient as I can be I think I am going to move my nano into the new tank! The extra rock and sand I will be adding to what I already had in the nano has been cycling for almost 3 weeks now. I added about ten pounds of live sand to the mix as well. I have also been using biozyme bactiria to jump start the process I added some mysis shrimp to the tank when I first started the cycle. I only have one fish which is a falcos hawkfish about 2" so my bioload should be light. So hear is to knocking on wood hoping and praying that I dont have a huge ammonia spike when I make the transfer(drinking)

I cant wait to see this in person when you host a meeting(drooler)

Got it my bad =) I think it is kind of amazing to see the drastic color diffrences of every ones frags under diffrent lights and picture taking skills!

What was I sposed to do leave it there flopping around till it fell off?

Just thought I would give a little up date got the tank set up and water in it have some rock and sand in there now that has been cycling for the last 2 weeks I want to get some more sand and maybe a few smaller peices of live rock to put in. I am working out the kinks in the over flow trying to get it as silent as possible. Also I think I am going to have to get rid of the skimmer it might work great in a garage frag tank but it is way to loud for my livingroom. I also will need to figure out just where I am going to stick all my power cords and what not. I was thinking that some time next week or so I would make the transfer from the little cube to the new tank.

14 gallon Biocube small air driven protien skimmer lighting is 4 ecoxotic stunner strips 2 453 blue 2 8,000k tank is 5 months old no dosing just weekly water changes.(clap) I did have a small misshap in transport and knocked the fram free of the plug and had to reglue it this morning.(booboo) 2-20-12 3 polyps
