  1. A couple of them are getting big. Im pretty sure flow restrictions were stunting the growth of some if the other sps in my tank.
  2. So I recently started having some major problems with the tank. I think that the layout and the amount of stuff in the tank was killing the flow and in a very short period of time corals started browning out, some have tissue loss, and others just RTN'd. so until I eventually redo the entire tank I removed a ton of stuff and rescaped a bit. here it is after the removal and re-arrangement. of course the white balance is off in the photos but I just wanted to get a couple of pics taken.
  3. so I ended up losing a few things. My strawberry shortcake acro, my hawkins colony and a aussi echinata. Other than that everything recovered pretty well. I have almost all my colors back except for a few of them but that could also be because I changed the light too. now using a 8 bulb powermodule. I'll have to take a few pics later.
  4. Its funny to hear someone call bend to redmond a trek. I used to feel the same way when I lived there but 18 to 20 miles is nothing to me now.
  5. that is the fastest update ever. Nice to see a tank with sps in central oregon.
  6. went on vacation and returned to find everything on the verge of death. I think I can save just about everything but no colors are left which is going to take some time to fix.
  7. I would love to add more corals but I have a virtual frag forest on the rocks closest to the wall. Just have to wait and see how they grow out.
  8. cleaned up the tank a bit. a couple updated pics.
  9. Looking great. It's nice to see people put a little time effort and money into a first setup.
  10. a quick update before I take vacation. going home to bend for a week visit and portland for a couple days.
  11. Lucky you. That stuff is all over the place here in the bay area and still I cant get my hands on any. I too have been waiting for some time, and still waiting.
  12. I cant imagine keeping a reef in Bend. the weather would be better but I never even attemp to go to the LFS when I'm there to visit
  13. No real updates for awhile. Waiting for someone to come by and pick up my 2 big moti's and I'm setting up a 29 gallon that will be plumbed into my current system so I can put all of my softies and LPS in to make room for more sps in the elos. I ended up not buying the ATB instead got a used gen 1 Bubble King mini 180.
  14. Not that anyone was interested : ) but it has Sold
