Here are a couple of new corals to my tank have had them for a few weeks and never got around to posting them up =)

Thanks for the tips I am gonna put these into action and get the temp stable I think I found part of the problem one of the oceanic power heads has been going out and I think its time to get some korila nanos instead. I would get an mp10 but my wife might kill me for spending more on a pump then I did on the tank =)

So I ordered some of this http://champion-lighting-and-supply-co.amazonwebstore.com/Blue-Life-Clear-FX-Pro-450/M/B006C3O14K.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=froogle saw it on mr saltwater tank and thought I would give it a go my chemipure is ready to be replace so I thought I would try this its twice as much money so we will see if it is worth it =) My tank has also been running hot this last week or so as the temps are rising out side. I was shocked last night I tested the water it was 83 I put a fan in the stand blowing over the sump and I raised the hood up a bit so it is not sitting right on top of the tank. I checked both 50w heatersand they have not been kicking on my first though was that they were malfunctioning. after the changes my tank was still 80 this morning. a chiller is out of the budget any tips for dropping the temp of my water would be great thanks =)

So yeah the clowns dont want anything to do with any of my corals. I have seen them fluttering around in the sand quite a bit though. They realy like my hawk fish its like some kind of strange love triangle that they have going on. I will often seen the three of them just hanging out with no aggresion. However every time I try and snap a picture of it they move apart like I walked in on a private moment they were having (laugh)

Thats a very cool Idea. I have run across these before but I thought they were to much $$$ for my budget but definately unique I hear that they work pretty well just gotta keep an eye on it that has the potential to pump a lot of water out of the tank if it goes haywire =) You do seem to be really on top of things with your tank so I dont see you having a problem with it good luck and I cant wait to see it in action.

I like to run a strip of painters tape along where I want the edge of my bead to be then I smear the silicone in and peel away my tape to have a nice clean edge =)

Thanks folks. I am lovin my new clowns. I had a interesting pic of my GSP it seems to be taking on a branching form of growth. I always thought they would grow to conform to a surface but this stuff seems to be reaching for the sky. I snapped this with the lights off this morning when all th polyps were closed thought it was kind of cool. I also was moving a frag of some type of pally today and accidently dropped right on my acan who latched on and would not let go. they are both still really pissed right now not sure if the pally will pull through I think the acan thought it was gettting a free meal . I am still trying to find some hermit crabs that are falco proof for my clean up crew unfortunately blue leggs are just the right sized little snacks for him.

thats why you run two one is the emegency over flow and the other is a full syphon throttled back to match the exact flow of your return pump. It will be silent. the reason for the emergency over flow is that if the restricted pipe becomes clogged you will have a big mess. If you just have the bulk heads on the bottom I imagine it could end up sounding like a flushing toilet =)

I like to use gate valves for my drain lines as they are easier to make small adjustments with. I would also add stand pipes of some sort to those bulk heads one high then the other. Look up a herbie over flow its what I am using in my living room tank and it works really well I cant hear anything coming from my tank besides the sound of the pumps =) As far as the brace goes if it were my tank I would do something to reinforce it some people probabaly will say that it is fine but my level of comfort with 75 gal of water would be to error on the side of caution. How to go about that is another stary as I dont think most glues will bond very well with the kind of plastic that they use to make those braces. I do rember a while back that there was a similar thread on a center brace repair. Good luck with the new build and I am looking forward to see how it goes =)

to bad mp10 is not sold at a reduced rate =( They really need to make a bare bones mp10 for those of us want to keep both of our arms and legs but still have an mp10 lol

Thanks Dave =) :DGot some misbar picasso clowns from dave last night. Very cool fish with some unique stipes. They will fit in nicely in the oddball mixed reef. So with out any more babbling her are some pics. My hawk fish is not to happy about the new additions but as it take him a lot of energy to swim in the open water he only gives it a half hearted attempt. May need to get a nem for these guys.
