I paid $200 each for Nero 5, and they go for that everywhere online.

Isn’t reborn crushed coral mined from deep in the earth from dinosaur age? If so, I’d imagine it’s going to be quite a while before it comes back...

My reason for never getting one is the maintenance appears to be almost as much, if not more, than running filter socks. I'm sure they work great if sized properly, but I would not want to do the weekly cleaning required. My refugium seems to work just fine.

That’s a solid reactor for pennies. Even if it needs a new pump. They are all the same basic thing, so any you find would run from peristaltic pump.

Thank goodness because I’ve really been wondering what exactly a safety connector is and whether I needed one

Well r2r stopped supporting tapatalk a while back. Not sure it’s that important as long as the regular forum works fine on phones and tablets, and it appears to for me

Your welcome.
Part of what I believe to be the most epic south park episode I’ve ever seen... I still explain that episode to people to this day

I’m thinking of upgrading my protein skimmer on my new tank. What’s everybody running, especially those of you in the over 130 gallon category? Anyone running lifereef or recirculating type?
And by thinking, that means I am incessantly searching on the Internet because I need one right now…

Anyone else having trouble with tapatalk app? I'm getting a pop up to contact forum admin or try again later (Code-2209).

I bought a couple guards off Etsy, but never put them on. If anyone wants them, you're welcome to them.

I’ve always ran it in my calcium reactor, but can’t say that it’s ever broken down at all and it hasn’t kept my mag up. But I run my reactor at a ph of 7, so that might be why

You do remember they tried this a couple years ago and it was a bust.
Hah, I love that Matteo's avatar lists his location relative to Cuttlefish!- 1

I’ve been feeding new life spectrum pellets for 10+ years. No idea if they’re low phosphate though. I like the pe mysis pellets too, so I’m glad suncrest reef reminded me about those

I'd strongly suggest not putting a 6 line wrasse in that list. They are jerks, and you will never catch it to remove it. I love the melanurus wrasse. Very colorful, bigger, peaceful, and always out and about. Love me a midas blenny too! Those two angelfish may be trouble for those docile fish, as well as zoas and acans if you're planning on those. With a bigger tank, you're likely going to wish for larger fish just because of the scale of the whole thing. And if you're planning all those fish in a small quarantine at the same time, you'll likely loose more than if you just put them in your display right off the bat. Just my opinion, I know many prefer full quarantine protocol.

Wow, pretty disappointing to hear Ecotech would specifically tout this for continuous duty and these are the results. I'm pretty happy with my Kamoer. I replace the tubing once a year or so just because I'm afraid not to. I have two rollers, and alternate them after soaking in ATF for lubrication. Otherwise they get noisy Not sure I recommend wifi, but not sure if they still have the old version. Some things are better kept simple like a dial for flow imo
