Thanks Kshack I will check zeovit.com. Is this system good for a mixed reef or sps systems? I am sps dominated right now but also have quite a few lps and some high end chalices coming. Also a few higher end zoos I don't want to kill with too clean of a system. I am running gfo and carbon 24/7 right now as well with weekly 10% water changes.

Grassi can you put some links up that can better explain the zeovit system? Very interested in expanding my knowledge. I just ordered Elos pro skimmer and the amino which I believe is a start. I also have a monster skimmer in a bubbleking 180 but I do not use filter socks yet, but will be starting them on one of my drains this week. The other drain goes into my fuge and I have no way currently to add a sock to it. If you think it is necessary though I will make it work. Alereef you have an absolutely stunning tank btw!

I just knew I got off the short bus too soon DOH! I had an awesome day thanks again guys for letting me tag along. I got all the stuff in the tank and I can still see my rock, so I am planning my next trip to get more (laugh). (Thank God my wife never reads this forum)

So last Saturday I got to go on a road trip to Portland to spend the day with Kim and Beth and pick up all my salt they so graciously held onto for me. I had the absolute time of my life. I have been very busy and have not had the time to write out a post about my day yet. So first off thank you so much Kim and Beth for hauling me around all day and showing me the ropes. I have been on a tight leash with my wife and was not able to buy stuff the way I wanted so mostly I just lived vicariously through them. I was able to pick up a very sweet mystery wrasse from Ed's reef for an amazing price. Kim and Beth assured me he would not eat my inverts(laugh). He has been in my tank for over a week now and has not touched anything. Very cool fish so I am so glad they talked me into getting him. We also went over to Steve's house and I got to see an amazing 250 gallon tank. Steve that setup truly made me speechless. Thank you so much for allowing me to come to your home and letting me see that monster. It was a (drooler). I also got a sweet colony of pink mille from OIAB. I got the most of my goodies from Kim and Beth themselves. They gave me the newbie hookup and even were nice enough to give me some granola bars and juice boxes for the trip home for my kids. I got some Tyree Armageddon’s, a sweet small colony of Cali tort, and they even threw in a frag of another sps colony, and a really beautiful chalice. I am sad to say I don't think the frag of the one sps is gonna make it (sad) but I am still trying to nurse it back. No idea what happened. The Cali tort bleached out a bunch as well but seems to be coming back. Everything else is doing very well. So once again thanks for everything and I hope I can come back again and spend the day. Also thanks for letting me drool over your setups they were a big inspiration for me. You guys are awesome. (rock2)(rock2)

That is horrible about your tank man. So sorry to hear that. Hoping Tuesday works out and we can come get some stuff to help yah out.

One thing I have heard is to start dosing even slower than the directions call for. I actually read to use half the amount they call for in the beginning and work up to the full amount. I tried using cupramine with my blue hippo and she stopped eating and started not doing very well. Not to scare ya. Just keep an eye on them. Also do not use any ammonia inhibitors as it will turn the cupramine to toxic copper.
