  1. I have thought about this one for a while but it seems extremely hard to get every one on the same page. Timing is rather difficult,a year or two back we had a pretty good sized meeting\getogether at my house and people from there went to each others houses afterwards. I must say I most likely won't be able to attend a,as much as I would like to, do to time constraints...We will see.
  2. Maybe a local boys get together is in order. Ken and Andrew's tanks are looking great ,especially for not being up for all that long, there are some nice collections near by for sure.We all have the sickness-Coral Madness.
  3. Just thought I would wish you a Happy Birth Day. I hope your day is a good one playing in the tank and relaxing.I know you gotta stock that new cube so If you ever find yourself this way again drop me a line and I will hook you up with a nice coral,a rain check of sorts.
  4. I have some frags I could get you started with as well. I also love to trade so if you want to exchange corals some time let me know.
  5. I suppose I would like to be third in line if possible.
  6. Sounds like a deal to me, I have a couple rock anemones but nothing too crazy,my porcelain crabs sure like em. Love hearing about other vendors\distributors. I look forward to the review as well.
  7. I would love to hit up Stu again for some more cold water tips,Awesome Guy with some crazy cold water creatures. I missed out on the last time he made a meeting appearance.
  8. If you can't get it to run smoothly I might end up returning it for another if you can. I run several and none of them are loud. There was one that I have that did make some noise but I utilized some of the spare parts from another unit to fix whatever it was that caused the noise. The way I see it is a circ pump making noise is a pump that wont last long do to the friction/failure.
  9. You should see some of the new scores I have gotten, save some room for a few more polyps and possibly a chalice cause there are some nice looking corals waiting to be trimmed...That is if you don't have it all pre planned already.
  10. We were all looking into the display wanting to take home some frags and that is when we started talking about fragging the wrasse,I am thinking that the fish in the display are not for sale but I could be wrong. I know if he went in with a net to catch him there would be plenty of frags to go round.
  11. Sorry to hear about this accident and like everyone else I am very glad you made it out with slight injuries and nothing permanent. My friend had gotten into a accident recently and the airbags caused quite a bit of bruising and pain combined with the force of the impact. On another note I have your captain America Palys from the meeting, I was going to split them with you but we all went separate ways before I could get to some wire cutters.I can send em to you. Hope you and your girl get well soon and your car transition is smooth.
  12. Sasquatch is right, you either get smaller snails and clean up crew or glue em down. I have lost many a coral to falling into a chalice or my brain coral. If you are not moving too far you and I could exchange corals as well. I have a few freebies depending on what you are after and I Love to trade.Let me know when you get back in the saddle man.
  13. I had to pass on the wrasse for some prime coral and that would leave the whole faerie wrasse colony up for grabs. Did you see all of those baby seahorses? Talk about a herd.
  14. Sorry man I had a couple others but I really like the hand gestures. I communicate in a similar manner when I am getting into the subject.
  15. And then there is this guy,he had me sold on a few items, thanks for the coral man. I will see about snagging you some zoas for the next time i am over your way.
  16. Bicycle bill enjoying the TPA display tank after we had a good chat about fragging methods. I wonder if he is thinking about fragging out of the tank? Can't help but gaze into its awesomeness. I know these two were prospecting.
  17. Andy and Jim in an engaging conversation about coral of all things.
  18. Robyna the meetings at Garret's are always pleasant ones and I am sure there will be another one in the near future,I look forward to it. Here we have the grill master and fellow skilled coral keeper Earthbound, thanks for the burgers friend and the frags I got from you look great, more like mini colonies.Super happy. Looks like I am not the only one having a good time.
  19. By the end of talking with Gumby I was envious. He has a taste for some of the more exotic corals and he shared a few pictures of some insane corals. I have a few from a previous meeting at Jeffs and I look forward to another trade.
  20. JManrow it was nice meeting you in person, glad you made it out.As I said before if you find yourself planning a trip that comes through Corvallis let me know and maybe we can hang out for a bit and chat about the hobby more. You can see I indeed do still run a halide and they still grow mad coral.
  21. One of our new board members Randy was there to add to the mix of familiar faces. He also brought me some really nice pieces of coral.Great reviews on the Reef Star too,Thanks for the chat and the frags my friend.
  22. The meeting at Garret's Was a BLAST!!! With Dave"Earth Bound" working the grill,Garret talking coral while running the show,Roy and his great presentation with pictures to match, and a full roster of TPA crew to assist the large turnout. There was a pretty good coral exchange going on and some extremely generous reefers helping out their fellow members, really cool to see the PNWMAS community just go wild. and now a few pics. First the Host with the most...Coral that is!(naughty) The G-Man Our ex-prez Roy gave us an awesome slide show with fantastic pictures. Many corals, anemones, and fish that I would love to have in my tank. Seeing some of these animals in the native waters as well as the Huge table acros and fields of staghorns was nothing short of impressive. I hope Roy posts a pic heavy thread with some of those shots he had shown for those who did not make it to this event. Here he is hiding behind the skimmers...Actually it was me who was lurking.
  23. Why not your sump, Chambers too small?
