nice tank

From what I've seen and read, these things far outweigh just growing macro in a fuge.

Anyone had any experience switching the aquablue with the new coral plus?

Stunning, I've never traveled so far to visit a store but this is really calling my name.

For me it was the under-estimation of how some algae will quickly out compete others. I spent about 150$ on algae of purple, red, to have it wither because the calurpa stripped the water. Trimming it also made it seep yellow stuff from its ends and looked terrible. Just don't do fern or blade calurpa and have a good amount of nutrients in your column and you will be fine.

Been a while since I have updated this. This tank is still running and doing very well. It has been fully stocked for a while now, just enjoying it till I have room to upgrade. I did some big changes since the last photo, like changing the monster pump, lights, sump. The display fuge ended up being the worst idea ever for me, so much work.

My first Sps was a birds nest from Garretts. Gave me the courage to begin sps after having the thing crazy grow for a month. :0 Still have it.

Not all silicone is created equal. But once you get a good silicone and glass I bet it would be an awesome and prideful diy projecto!

I'm not sure how awesome LED tubes are... But I like the idea you are presenting here, I would enjoy just one of my blue bulbs to be led royal for that glow it gives.

I had a 250 Phoenix and 2 t5 actinics over my breeder and it was really beautiful. Some will say 2 MH's to cover it all, but the shimmer and look of a single MH was very nice. Now I'm all t5's, saves power but not as stunning. I bought a fixture just like the one you are looking at from Ebay. Was good.

Won't answer for them, but corals are for sure very alive

Update, so far I have spent only barely over 1k on this tank, I went over but sold a crap load of micro algae so it evened back out to 1k again. I have kind of just let it grow without adding a bunch of corals just to see how things work. I have a 120g plan coming together for my next project in the next 6 months.

Figured I would show the under belly of the tank, the progress on the algae and mangroves is remarkable. Plus my display fuge is out of control. lol

A little update on the tank, it is an amazing hobby and this site was about 99.9% of the source of my reef keeping knowledge. I've kept the project to date, under 1000$ dollars, I have about 150 more to go till the 1k mark. I've fought bryopsis and won, now I am on the front with flat worms. So if anyone has advice on those it would be nice.

Tank has changed a little, Display fuge went through a big battle of bryposis, had to bleach the middle rock. My wife and I are really putting this together though, tank is nice and stable.

Ya your lighting is top notch, gonna be sweet when stocked.

Hope not bryopsis, I am struggling with this crap.
