1. Ok i will start with my mag dosage.all that i have is the BRS though.
2. So I have briopsis in my tank again :( last time had this problem I aquired a sea hare and it solved my problems. This time around I dont have access to a sea hare. At some pooint in my research I remember that you can dose magnesium to a certain point to melt the briopsis away.So my questions are what is the best method to dose mag and to what levels are the corals safe.Or is there an alternative to end this problem before it gets any worse? So far nothing I have eats it and it doesnt seem to be going away.my perameters are in check but I presume that there must be a little something that allowed this to grow but not enough to be traceable as it has already been used. This ia a 40 gallon breeder tank. PH - 8.2 Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - 0 Phosphate - 0 Calcium - 440 KH 8 Salinity - 024 Metal halide 250 20,000kelvin,skimmer,carbon,low bio load in fish six line wrasse, yellow watchman goby, and a pair of clown fish. I have done a water change with my RO water and it seems to not be growing as fast but it is still there :( any help would be apreciated.
3. I know marine melafix as a coral dip works wonders but fresh cuts are always risky.sorry man.
4. I too buy large amounts of super glue as it is always available .Whether a department store or at a mini mart its there and affordable.
5. There is no shortage of reefers here and is there some oregon tort available?
6. I like this build:)making your own built in sump is a good idea.is there enough room to be able to throw in a little baffle and add some macro?
7. That is going to be so cool in the end. It would look really sleek if it was housed inside a canopy or what not.I have a friend who is looking into doing one of these tiny nano tanks.

that is super cool.he is the Keeper of the Coral-Defender of SPS.i have one that is more of a rougue and i have caught him stealing food.not nearly as cool.
9. how big is the tank?what kind of lights do you have now?if its over 40 gallons a halide or LED isnt a bad option either or you could just add some LED blue actinic strip lights.
10. this is a really sweet idea and is this done every month?
11. here is my sebae, clowns,a gree calaustrea, and some shrooms.there is a little macro that has spread here and there but i just pull out what i think is too much and things seem OK to me.its kind of a uncontroled natural look.i am curerntly tryingout some differnt macros in here but it seems some are a little finicky and some seem to be relished by the CUC.
12. clean dry rock, shells, and coral skeletons are some of the best zoa starter beds
13. LOL a road trip would be great.getting out to other parts of oregon on a mission for coral.I like the sound of that.and thanks for the friendly welcome everyone it is nice to be here owen you can come by and check what little i have out and maybe we can do a trade of some sort?i do like more corals
14. Hello everyone.I was refered to this site by several friends.I have been lurking for a little while and it looks pretty promising here.I am a salt water reefer from corvallis oregon who is into the coral addiction as it seem many others are here too.i have several tanks from a 10 gallon to a 55 all with the invertibrates in mind and am always looking to expand my coral kindom and learning form fellow hobbyist.you can only read so much i really like to trade and love checking out other peoples setups as there is so many ways to do things right and wrong in the hobby.no one way it seems.well thats my intro to the forum..hope to meet some more reefers here.chat with you all soon
