hi, i bought a panworld gen 50xx its shipping is this a pump that is silent, does anyone have it? i was thinking about returning it to brs if it is loud. also, a reeflo snapper, how is that pump?

after doing the aquarium thing for ten or so months, if there has been one thing that i have done, consistently and remarkably well, it is to make mistakes! i hope i am not alone... so here are my best ones: the spills of course, lots of them. i once got sprayed in the face with my return pump, it was a 1300 gph pump also. that happened because i was trying to adjust my ball valve and unknowingly loosened the connection to the pump itself. i have casually left a hose in my mixing tub before and have lost 50 or so gallons to the garage floor. and much much more. now lets hear your failures!

sorry! it is so sad to see this type of thing happen! i had half my fish die three weeks ago, i had ich, and then when i had taken care of the ich, a bacterial infection hit my fish who were already weakened. never underestimate hyposalinity... just feel good knowing you have been doing the suggested, and trying your hardest

keep in mind that an octopus uses ink as a defense system, if they get intimidated they will ink. and if they ink, the water quality goes to a POOR level. at this point you would need to do an immediate water change-- OR ELSE!!! (dun dun dunnnnn). cool idea, just keep it practical. i have peered at the newport aquarium octo and it is always tucked away.

i got these for a dragon wrasse that was not eating, the dragon wrasse died two days later... i have 1 6 oz bottle of arctipods, i used 1/20 at most. and i am not exaggerating. i don't know how to post pix. i can send you the picture if you pm me with your email i paid 20$ at upscales for these i would like to trade for some zoas or other soft corals that are relatively hardy i can deliver if the offer is good enough. thank you!

I have a 660 icecap VHO ballast. i need to replace my bulbs, i just got an aquarium with some crazy retrofit action. the previous bulbs were all from ultraviolet resources: 36" super actinic 2x 48" actinic white 48" super actinic the tank is a flat back hex, that is why one bulb is a 36 so my question: a) what bulbs should i get? b) where should i get them c) what is the grow capacity of these bulbs on a tank that is 36" high thanks!

do not be fooled! this forum offers great advice. the drama is just for frosting and time wasting. you can ignore that stuff and it will be a wondrous resource! it has helped me a lot, so do not overlook the good stuff. i have been a member for three months and this is the first drama i have every heard of. and its a little amusing to laugh at the small things that people make a big deal about. lol. give it another week. i have found every one here to be friendly and willing to share their expertise.
