  1. Why do you have to be so far away?!? I've love to grab the 250w, but I'm not heading north anytime soon.
  2. I only directly feed them maybe once a week. I've got a power head aimed at it so food sometimes gets blown at it. Since I got it back in about October it's only grow one little baby head, but it's happy.

    Sun Polyps

Snapped this picture of my sun coral opened up under my unhappy leather. All of the lights are on so no idea why they decided to open, but I don't mind.
  4. Thought I'd brag. I am the first one to use it!!! Just bought a Refractometer over the phone!
  5. I was wondering if any one from Eugene is going up to Garrett's place anytime soon. Or anyone from Salem coming down. I'm going to buy a refractometer from him but I don't have time to go up there and get it myself. Garrett mentioned the Jon (newfisher) would be going up there soon but he was sure when.
  6. Every time I hear someone asking about saltwater fish at Petsmart I always tell them about PNWMAS, after the employees are done making a fool of themselves that is. I'm not sure if any of them have joined but I know people have a hard time getting the name right most of the time. Cards or fliers or something would definitely help people remember. *edit* Maybe design more varieties of bumper stickers too. I'd put one of each on my cello case!
  7. Not reefing, but my 125 started to leak and I didn't catch it for at least 2 weeks. I drained the tank and resealed, problem fixed.......until a month later when it started leaking again. So, drained the tank, resealed, refilled and I was on my way. After the third time of it leaking I started getting really frustrated. Turns out that because of the first leak, my wood stand had warped, causing the tank to be un-level, putting stress on my seal. Well, my carpet didn't like all that water and now I have a 13"x2" strip in my white carpet where the stand molded.DOH! Good news though, I bought a real stand and haven't had a problem since. (clap)
  8. Cleaning my FW 125 is impossible with a shirt on. Not only do I get water everywhere, but my fish splash the crap out of me too.
  9. after this picture I think I should join TCPTZC.
  10. I don't think remember buying that one.
  11. I don't think the metal is going to make a difference. Just don't leave it in you tank permanently, you might rinse it afterwords too.
  12. I use a garden hose that said it was safe for drinking water. I never use the hose for anything other than fish stuff and it stays inside.
  13. Does anyone use there RODI waste water for a freshwater system? I don't want to throw out 5 gallons of waste water for every gallon of RO, I'd much rather use all the water going through the system. I'd use the waste of my 125g freshwater tank.
  14. So is everyone saying BRS because that's what they have or because they think it's the better deal? My thinking is that even if I buy a cheaper system, I can still use quality membranes.
  15. What's the benefit of getting multiple DI canisters?
  16. I've always heard that your DI should be vertical. Anybody know if it makes a big difference?
  17. That's awesome. I think I may get it from there. Free shipping gets me every time.
  18. Holy crap, those are great deals. How long have you had it? How many gallons does the membrane do?
  19. Taking a poll to where I should get my RO/DI unit from. Bulk Reef Supply 75 GPD Economy + Pressure Gauge = $170. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/reverse-osmosis-filters-and-systems/reverses-osmosis-deionization-systems/standard-ro-di-systems/75-gpd-ro-di-4-stage-economy-system.html Buckeye Field Supply 100 GPD + Pressure Gauge = $160 http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/showproducts.asp?Category=167&Sub=166
  20. I've been testing my mag levels and the went from 1100 last week to 850 this week. I've been using Kent Tech-M and I've been dosing to raise the level by about 75 a day, and it's still getting lower. dKH is 9, Calcium is >500
  21. Just looking for anyone that would make a frag of the BIG duncans. I've got some of the smaller (3/8"-1/2") ones but I'd really like to get some of the giant variety(1"-1.5").
  22. I've been looking at some aquaculture places. The use a recirculating systems so they only have to fill the +10,000 gallon system once. They spend a fortune on a filter system and additives though.
  23. Any body know how these connect? My current (broken) ato is spliced into an extension chord. How are these set up? http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-supplies/BM-FVAT.html
