  1. If didn't have to replace my return pump I'd be all over it.
  2. You should feed with Garlic Guard soak mysis. Just brought a powder brown home and it had ich after the first day. All I've done is feed with GG and the ich has cleared up. The garlic should entice her to eat.
  3. I use Kent, H2Ocean, and Instant Ocean. I buy a different bag almost every time. That way I don't get bogged down with a salt that doesn't have enough something.
  4. I put mine under my toadstool leather in the shade. They don't open all the way but the do open enough to feed during the day. I don't think that they're LPS though. I'm pretty sure they are under the NPS category.
  5. I know! I just did one this weekend though so I'm done traveling for a little.
  6. anybody coming down from Portland to Eugene?
  7. I may have some questions for you later Kevin. I'm working on a paper dealing with these issues right now in my WR 122 class. You sound like a good resource.
  8. OMG, I would love to get the Pagoda Cup from you. To bad you live 3 hours away.
  9. My salinity was about 1.0275 (according to garret). My ATO float switch just died so salinity is going a little haywire. Working on getting it down to 1.025.
  10. I'm using a Kent product to raise my mag from 1100. I'm shooting for 1350. It says to add 1 mL of the product per gallon to raise the mag 18. So how much should I dose to bring it up around 75 a day? My math brain is not working today.
  11. My girlfriends going to bring over her SLR so I can get some descent pictures
  12. here's a google pic. http://marinefishireland.com/sun_coral-pic.jpg
  13. Ive got some of the orange type. How long did it take for it to grow a full new polyp?
  14. Ended up with a powder brown tang and a banded prawn goby, couple of test kits, and a filter sock from Garrett's. Then on the way home I stopped by All for Fish, that place is huge.
  15. and was wondering if there were any good shops I should check out after Garrett's place.
  16. It opened up a couple of hours after I got in the tank. It was kinda a pain to mount. I'm glad it's hardy, I bought one to make up for killing the one I bought when I first started with saltwater.
  17. Where are you located? I might be interested in the Blue tang.
  18. I would love to. I've been trying to get in on a grow out for a while but no one's started one recently.
  19. If barelycuda doesn't take it I'm interested.
  20. I'm 100% sure that it's the pump. I put myself through a lot voltage to make sure it was the pump. I'd like to upgrade the pump if anything, rather than just replace it. Any suggestions on a pump? I'm kinda digging the idea of getting an external, so I'd have to drill my sump.
  21. It's finally come to a point where I can no longer ignore being shocked. I'm afraid that my mag 7 is going to start killing stuff. It's just ridiculous, if I touch the water and anything else, including the ACRYLIC tank, I get shocked. Not to mention that I can't put my hand in the sump without getting shocked without even touching anything. So does anyone have a pump that I could easily fit to 1/2" pvc, that I could beg, borrow, buy, or steal, or something? At this point I've got it out of the water and have put some pumps in the tank to keep things going.
  22. I went to Aqua Serene for some more clean up crew and I left with three 2cm frags of birdsnest!!! Got to love those guys.
  23. Anybody in Eugene/Springfield want to make a $5-$15 frag of either of these corals for me?
