    REASSEMBLE!!!

There is such a learning curve when cutting glass, glad it worked out for you!
  2. +1 on watching. I'd love to see how its done!
  3. Cloudiness will take a while to settle, rock or not, so it's better to get it all over with now. Also saves time like others said with the cycle.
  4. If the $10 frag is available again, I'll take it.
  5. My old car I just bought an aftermarket deck with the ipod connector, and wired it into my glove compartment. You can also get one of the connectors that plugs into a cigarette lighter and makes a tiny radio station in your car that you tune into and listen to your ipod from...costs about $50. It's what I use now.
  6. I am interested in either 1 or 2 mp10's or 1 mp40, depending on price.
  7. Gel superglue hardens in/with water. Apply liberally.
  8. Or when Frankling and I were chatting reef when I still worked at petco, and then realized we both were members of this forum :]
  9. I was looking for a forum to post on when I moved up here, but this forum is hard to find (was searching for oregon/eugene reef clubs). If it weren't for Clay, I would have never found this site!
  10. Pictures are worth a thousand posts :]
  11. I know the API carbon is just junk, and it sometimes can leach crap into your water. Also the lower quality carbon and phosphate pads (NOT hbh- those ones actually work...kind of) can do it too.
  12. Yeah Jon and I are going up on Wednesday, gonna hit a few shops on the way too. I would have invited you, but my car only comfortably seats one :[ If you wanted to carpool in your van or something, we could make a road trip out of it? As for the pump, I'm currently entertaining the though of just getting an ecosmart mp10 for my tank, but I still want to buy your pump :]
  13. Fishneedit has a good looking 70w halide, and at a pretty good price. Not sure on color temperature though...
  14. Also maybe just have a 1/4" hose constantly siphoning that you can position nearby, so its constantly pulling sludge and you can move it at will...Low quality carbon is BAD in a reef tank, because it can leach silicates and phosphates into your water, but good quality carbon in a moderate amount shouldn't be harmful. Good luck!
  15. My god you are right down the street from me! Lol!
  16. Have a 10-25% water change ready for when you are done, and load up on carbon/purigen in your system for a few days afterwards. Maybe have a turkey baster ready for any clouds you see and can nab.
  17. Also, Kent (brand, not person) makes a great algae scraper that is safe for acrylic. It's either the red or yellow blade that is safe for acrylic, but it is about as good as a razor blade, and you can buy replacements for it too.
  18. Tell yours to split already, Clay, I'm dying for a RBTA and my clowns are too!
  19. Thanks! I was going through one of my Amano books today and got the urge to actually aquascape. When my fish and coral relax again, I'm going to get the left side stacked more like the right side, and pick up a bit more rock. So far so good on the light, the hangers feel REALLY sturdy, so I have a bit of confidence in it. I will keep the wood brace on the tank for a few more days, just in case :]
  20. So I was looking through a Takashi Amano book I have today, and couldn't leave well enough alone. I re-aquascaped my tank (again) but my fish LOVE it now. I also have a new way of mixing/adding food. I used an old Frank's Red Hot bottle and filled it with the two pellet foods I feed, and put the cap on and shook it. Now I have my food pre mixed, and one shake of the bottle adds just enough food for my fish! I also suspended my light over my tank.
  21. Great looking rock! I see you didn't make my mistake :]
  22. Oh yeah I understand. The diagrams on the back show the hook being installed in a ceiling, and the weight going down. This is only temporary, since I will be out of my apartment in the next few months. If I had access, I would just run a 2x4 above it, but my landlord wasn't too into that idea when I mentioned it :] I pulled gently on the hooks after I installed them, and felt no give at all, so the light is up now. I also have a big piece of wood right in the center so if it does fall, at worst I break a bulb or two :] Thanks for all the help guys!
  23. Crap. I don't know. My light can't weigh more than 20 lbs, and split between two hooks thats 10-15 lbs each. I am pretty confident it will hold :[
