  1. This is Squirt. She is truly my best friend, and the only person in this world who understands me.
  2. I am almost more excited about them being weaned onto frozen/pellet than them being captive bred...This is wonderful!
  3. You're welcome to swing by any time you want, I live in glenwood. Right now I am dealing with red slime algae, so the lights are off for another two days. What part of town do you live in? I also work at Aqua Serene now, so if you're ever in there, ask for me! I am usually out back doing pond stuff though.
  4. I got the mixed rock when it was on sale for 1.63 a lb or so. I got 1 piece of pukani which looks really cool, and 1 piece of eco and 1 piece of fiji. If you are making pillars, the pukani wouldn't look that good. The pukani kind of goes in one direction, so you would have to have a huge selection of rock to make your pillars look natural. I think the eco rock would be best for you in your situation. If you look at my tank thread (http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17592) you can see the pukani in the dead middle, the eco on the right (its not a normal piece, is asked for pieces with really big holes in them) and the fiji on the left.
  5. Looks like you should have brought your aquariscope!
  6. *3 pieces that totaled 40 lbs
  7. Impur- Specifically ask for the rock sizes you want. I asked for 'large' pieces, and got 3 pieces that totaled 40 lbs each. Just an fyi :] Also go for the pukani rock if you can, it is a teensy bit more expensive but WAY more porus and definitley worth it in the long run.
  8. Wrath was fun until I realized it was just BC v2.0...It's all the same grind, just a different name. Grind to the next top level, then grind your gear/rep/honor, then wait for the next patch to grind some more. I wish the expansions were actually different...Maybe I'm just a grouch though.
  9. +1 with the popcorn thing. I'm sitting in my apartment browsing netflix trying to find something to do. :]
  10. I considered becoming a comcast tech because I am bad at network stuff :] I asked the guy who did my setup (the jerks lock their box outside so I couldn't hook up my own internet...then they hooked up the wrong line on me.) what certifications he had...A+, Net+, CCNA, MCSE...He said he had none, and comcast does their own training. I loled.
  11. I agree with everyone above me. Put it in the sand bed or somewhere shaded and it will open up very soon. Mine still get grouchy sometimes and don't open fully at times.
  12. Doing an auto shut off system to fill my 10g salt mix tank, then I will build an auto top off system for my freshwater top off (5 gallon bucket with R/O water), that is separate from my R/O unit. Thanks though!
  13. Hahaha! Cultural tour of Bakersfield! Ya and an economics class in Sacremento!
  14. Also, I figured out why my R/O system was flowing so much out the waste water line, and so little out the clean water line. The problem was that when I switched the waste and clean lines, I didnt know there was an inline flow restrictor installed! Now it works fine.
  15. Isn't that red cap amazing? :] I'll see if I can pull some strings... hehe.

    Drilling Glass

Thats like the lectures I give customers if they ask for a sucker-fish or a nemo-fish. And yeah, I got the job at Aqua Serene. Come visit me!
  17. I have nightmares of angelfish eating my coral. Sometimes I wake up breathing heavy and sweating. Then I have to make up a nightmare that isn't fish related, so my girlfriend doesn't think im THAT crazy.
  18. I run the eshopps overflow on my tank, and it runs great. If you dont use the pvc tube and foam they give you, and just lay filter floss over the hole, it is dead silent. I just change my pads every day or two and it is really safe. +1 for eshopps
  19. Thanks. I am normally really good with PVC plumbing, but anything metal/tapped into my home water supply scares the crap out of me. By the way Bryan, next time you're in Aqua Serene, ask for me :] I am usually outside playing with the koi or something.
  20. Well I got it all plumbed properly, I just can't tell which line is waste water and which is R/O. I am pretty sure waste water is the one that is flowing a lot of water, and the R/O is the stuff that is just barely dripping. I need to switch the lines if thats the case, then it works properly. Now all I need to do is change the resin/filters and I am good to go! Thank you all for the suggestions!
  21. OH now I get it. I will use the compression T / Ball valve for the line TO the R/O unit, and then the saddle tap thingy to tap the drain line. GOT IT!
  22. Actually now that I look at it, I have 2 valves connected to the wall, for hot and cold, and each one connects directly to a braided line going up to my faucet. For my drain, it goes directly to my garbage disposal, and then into a 1" ABS pipe, then opens up into a 1.5" U trap thingy, then goes into the wall. That is why I wanted to make a T from the valve to the braided line, probably with a ball valve. Unless thats what someone already said, in which case I need to work on my reading comprehension.
  23. Franklin- Any chance you would be willing to swing by and help me set it up? I am REALLY bad with metal plumbing. I could pay you for the pump also. Bryan- I appreciate it, if Franklin can't come over, I'd love your help. I just owe him anyways :]
  24. Would rather do it like ^^^^^, but if not I'll go with http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/reverse-osmosis-filters-and-systems/ro-plumbing-fittings/reverse-osmosis-valves-and-adaptors/faucet-diverter-valve.html
