I found these eye-hooks that can support 35 lbs each in drywall. Looks like I will be doing those on the overhang above my tank, then hanging some coated galvanized cable from them and attaching that to my light. I'll post pics when I'm done! Thanks!

t8 and t12 share the same pin configuration so whatever fits your light works. All my planted tanks, and now my hydroponic garden I am planning for all my veggies use either the spiral CFL bulbs, or the 6700k GE lowes bulbs. Good luck!

So I want to suspend my 24" AquaticLife fixture from my ceiling. I am tired of having it sit on an old VersaTop that I cut to fit across my tank DOH! I can't tell where I have beams above it, and I don't trust just molly-bolts to hang it on...Any tips from those of you that know construction better than me? Thanks!

If you are looking to grow macro algae, just pick up a 6700k t12 (look for 'cool white' if it doesn't have color temperature) from home depot or lowes. Great spectrum for plant photosynthesis.

+1 Rod's Food ROCKS! I feed the herbivore blend, and all my fish and coral go nuts for it. Also, the Euphasia is a new product from them. It is dirt cheap and is a great food. I don't understand why more stores don't carry Rod's Food, because it is widely known as a great food.

So I just got another Cyano outbreak, just because with my new flame angel, I am so scared of him eating my coral, that every time I look at my tank, I feed him a teensy bit, just to keep him full and not looking for food. I woke up this morning and saw some cyano on my sandbed and just started laughing :] AT LEAST MY CORAL ISN'T MUNCHED! :]

My buddy had one. He said it was tough because you got coralline growth on both sides, instead of just one :]

+1 on the airline on the back elbow. I always drill a hole in the 90 on the back and run some airline ABOVE the tank level, it will quiet it a LOT. also submerge your drain and if it still is bubbling, you can put some egg crate right under the return and put some foam on it, so it flows through the foam into the sump. Those are what I always do for my tanks and they run pretty quiet. Good luck!

I have been feeding him 3-4 times a day. I noticed one of my candy canes was deflated, but other than that everything looks fine. I have been keeping a really close eye on him, and so far he is behaving. But if not, TO CLAYS TANK HE GOES! (Or I set up a FOWLR tank with all the spare junk I have sitting around my apartment...Hehe!)

All ur flame angels are belongs to us. He's swimming around my tank right now :] The guy who gave him away is REALLY cool, and actually knows his saltwater really well. We ended up talking about hobbies for an hour or so actually :]

You could look at it with old school 3-D glasses? (the ones with one lens red, the other blue) In reality...Bleaching or browning sometimes is the zoxanthella (sp?) going into overdrive and reproducing like crazy from having a lot of light. Maybe put it in a lower light section of the tank, or even in shade, for a few months to put their growth in check? How long have yours been in the shade? Also if you don't dose iodine (iodide), dosing it can really help soft corals color and grow...Although if your salt mix has enough iodine in it, water changes will help. Other than that, sell it on craigslist as an Tyree Ice White LE Yuma!

Those Supra's are FUN cars. Make sure you change the oil regularly, and ask if it has a metal head gasket. If those two things are taken care of, they will drive FOREVER.
