Thanks for the input guys, BRS looks like a good deal. Anybody have any experience with different quality, different brands? Is the brand name stuff any different than the bulk stuff? Just trying to learn more. Thanks Gabe

Almost out of the first tub of Kalk I bought for my diy reactor. What do you guys use? Is one brand better than another? Where to get bulk? Any experience with the pickling lime? Its not my goal to get the cheapest stuff out there, but I would like to buy a size that I don't need to replace every month. Thanks Gabe

We are buying a new house and need to get rid of some toys. I have a very nice rail, and a realy fast Raptor. The rail is realy well built! Lots of billet Jamar equip., mid engine, fox coil-overs, marvin shaw, to much to list here. Original big motor broke years ago, has a stock internal 1600 dual port currently. I have a 6x54 over a 20 inch deep tank. I have sps growing from top to bottom. I only run all 6 lamps for 2 hours a day, 4 for 8 hours, 2 for 10 hrs. My soft corals seem to be happier when I don't run all 6 all day. 2 blue, 2 actinic, 1 10K, 1 Inkigo sun (kind of purple~pink) Gabe

I was able to kill all the apt in some good rock by soaking it in fresh water (rodi) for a couple hours. After you drained the overflow, could you fill it with fresh water for a couple hours, then drain out of your system? Good luck

I would say as long as the pic is of your tank, doesn't matter who took it. I think also if the pic is of someone elses tank as long you took the pic. I don't know if there are actual rules, but I just think you shouldn't be using pics off the net.

I should be able to accomidate. If I can meet the recipiants in one place that would work best.

Thanks Eric, I have a Canon Powershot sx100is. Great outdoor, excellent zoom 10x. I need some kind of lens to get tighter close-ups. This coral is only about 3 inches from the glass.

The next POTM Well, who knows...(laugh) Hope everybody likes it. I've been trying real hard to get some good pics with my point and shoot.(scratch)

My buddy Lance was able to install 4 t5's in a similar fixture without any dificulty. I'm sure there is a diy thread out there somewhere on the net. Good luck Gabe

My Aha moment! I only have enough salt for one maybe two water changes, 4 of my t5's are over 18 months old, out of phosban media, car needs new tires, etc etc...(wife) Just bought another coral that I apparently couldn't live without.(scratch)(Thanks Jody) Plus I went to both lfs in town, just to see what was new.(whistle) Hello my name is Gabe, I am an addict.
