  1. as long as you are handy with a dremel and a drill, you can hang anything
  2. im in the same boat eric, id take one as well, but, thats a mighty long drive
  3. i wouldnt recommend using the bleach and chlorine, id recommend actually just boiling it up on the stove in a BIG pot, boil it for as long as you care to, then dry it out real good, and then just put it in your tank, it will be clean, fresh, dry rock at that point, and your tank will actually turn it into live rock over a period of time
  4. gumby if you have any left once i get my new tank set up i might get a frag or 2 from you
  5. moonlighting can be left on all night, its no big deal for it to stay on, and some people leave their sump lights on 24/7, others on a 12 on 12 off and others have their sump/fuge lights on the reverse schedule of their tank lights, but, moonlighting can be left on
  6. are you using RO/DI water? or tap water? id recommend the seachem reef salt, or the tropic marin reef salt personally, but, thats just my opinion

  15. ive actually got some 3/4" stain ready that im going to skin it with, and im tearing it apart this weekend, saturday, and redoing it, i dont like the corners, i dont like the height, and i dont like the base, you cant tell it in the pics i have posted, but, where its sitting, its a foot taller than the next piece of furniture, which doesnt match the room at all, so, im tearing it down, keeping the base thats on it for the top, and doing it all over again lol. just have to reinforce the new top a lil more, and get some other pieces to do the other stuff i wanna do, after that, it'll be good to go, ill get more pics posted up then. im only going to make it 2' tall, the stand that is, so, its gotta be dropped a foot lol
  16. dont feel bad mr s, me and my gf are zoo freaks as well, we're going so far as to order over 80 kinds of zoas from various high end zoa dealers
  17. clay, do you happen to have a QT tank set up? if not, message me, ill go through how to set one up with you.
  18. the best thing to do if you have ich in your tanks is to take out all of your fish for 6-8 weeks, basically the life cycle of the ich, if they cant find anything to cling to in order to reproduce, they will slowly die out, and this takes, on average, 6-8 weeks, and while this is going on, you can, if you have a QT tank set up, quarantine all of your fish for the 6-8 weeks at hyposalinity, which means you need to slowly, over a period of 3-7 days, take your salinity from 1.025 down to 1.009, and keep it there for 3-4 weeks before slowly, over the same 3-7 days, bring your specific gravity back up to 1.025, this will in effect kill all of the ich organisms on your fish, and if you have qt'd all of your fish, and basically qt'd your DT as well, you should, as long as you continue to QT all new additions, have no problem with ich in the future, this is a much safer, and much more effective approach than using rid-ich or any other brand of chemical. just my .02
  19. if it was on the west coast, id definitely be down man, but, im one of those people who absolutely despise the east coast and will never ever go anywhere near there, ever again lol. whens the next one here on the west coast? or is there a similar show to macna that will be over here on the west coast? the better coast in my mind LOL.
  20. if i had my new tank up and running, i would gladly take the firefish pair off your hands
