+1, but the screwed up part is that we DONT need to "develop" new technologies. We have most the technologies we need. The problem is that when it comes to someone coming out with say a new electric only vehicle, which was done (in big numbers) about 5-6 years ago, the fat cats step in and say "we're losing too much money" and the fact that they have the power to turn it all off as far as our major production of these types of vehicles states exactly where the problem is. It absolutely kills me to know that we are doing this for only a small handful to get rich.

First off when you are talking about potentially wiping out certain species or killing off reefs that have taken 1000's of years to form in "a days work" then I think it is pretty hard to say that we are looking at things on too short of a time frame. Secondly you are comparing a natural disaster to a man made oil spill....what? third, I am pretty certain people do scream bloody murder when a volcano erupts. Not to mention, sitting back and saying well, it's OK, we can do whatever we want cause theoretically the world should "right it" in around 5000 years is crazy. I live here now.

Hey guys Perry has once again lured me in with some of those amazing corals. I am wondering if there is anyone even remotely close to me that is planning on heading to his shop in the near future. I only won a couple ricordeas so I thought I could save a few bucks in gas and offer a frag for someone if they could pick up mine as well. Just checking, Thanks!

You can usually get it from Lowe's or Home Depot but if Patrick at SFS has it in black then that is what I would do. The black will help prevent algae growth.

pfff, I grow more coral then that in my Nano. No but that is a really sweet setup, and I'll bet his electricity bill isn't anything compared to his light changing bill.

I know you guys are right, but I figured that there are probably plenty of people with old systems kicking around, plus it's always good to reuse old electronic instead of sending them to the dump. Besides it will only be a matter of time before one of her "genius" friends come by to work on it for her, despite my constant warnings and having to repeatedly fix their mistakes.

Well she has a few friends that think they are doing her favors by upgrading her system with pirated versions of operating systems that her computer is too outdated for. So first and foremost she needs an OS, secondly her system is outdated, REALLY outdated and there are a few signs that her hard drive or motherboard are beginning to fault.

my dear ol mums computer crashed and back in the day I was the guy with all the parts to fix it but I have since moved on from that. I would like to find her a decent older computer, she mainly just gets on the internet and plays card games so it doesn't have to be fancy. The inly thing required is that it works. Please let me know if you have one you want to get rid of, I have nice corals for trade or can pay cash. Let me know what it has in it and how much you want. Thanks for reading.

I would have to say that the pump is at least a few years old with steady use. I did clean it often so I don't believe there were any problems with the impeller or interior parts. Hope this helps.
