  1. Unfortunately this is what is needed in a public forum. Thats why we need mods. And maybe a few more. Not to babysit, but perhaps when needed lock down a thread or delete until the board can review content. Far too often and I know 1st hand postings can be misinterpreted real fast and spiral out of control. Before you know it, feelings get hurt, friendships are lost, and in some cases businesses can be ruined. IMO this board does need moderators to step in and pull the plug fast as threads start to get off subject or as Jen said out of text of what the website represents. I have many times wondered why certain threads are allowed to stay active.
  2. Yup, that what im saying too. Just out of the blue one day...WHAM!!!!!
  3. Yumas are very finiky. The deeper and richer the color the more finiky they can get. I just got in a shipment of a few yumas. I put all of them side by side and withing 2 days could tell which ones would be a problem. So far only one has died and the others all appear to be in great health. In the past I have had them look good for months then all the sudden one day....BAM. Sliming, gooing, and ultimately dieing. This is a problem that every forum talks about but no one has an answer for. It seems like it is a Yuma problem. The Florida rics dont do the same thing in the same manner. I dont think it has anything to do with you as much as the temperment of the yuma. One thing that I have discovered is when they open there mouth and it stays open then thats the one that seems to have the problem. If they have a closed mouth after acclimation then chances are they will be fine. I know this is frustrating for you as it is for me too. Nothing worse then getting in a beautiful Yuma only to watch it melt in a few days or over a few weeks. I will have a few going on ebay this week so maybe if they are within your budget you can get another and try it.
  4. Talk your ear off is a understatement. But he is a good guy!
  5. I use the same saw but I dont like using the flat table part with mine. It gives me a lot more freedom making cuts without it. You could frag the center polyp of a mother colony of acans right out of the center with that thing.
  6. Same here, 8 months later and 5 out of 6 survived. Ans still look like a ways to go.
  7. I think SPS-Acros will be coming back hot and also mushrooms. Im looking towards mushrooms myself!
  8. Does this goo serve any other useful purpose? Can you throw it out in your garden for fertilizer?
  9. Anytime........and thanks for bidding.
  10. Yes, they will be fine!!!!! I packed them well and if there is any nproblem let me know.
  11. Wow, good pick up Isaac. I would have bought it back for that. Scolys are HOT right now!!!!
  12. Hmmmm, since I fragged mine I now have 6 for future sale. I'll be generous and only sell mine for $500 each. Anyone want a frag?
  13. You can get the whole setup on ebay for about $99. RO-DI 6 stage system with free shipping. Cant beat it, I have bought them for myself and family members. 14. I just started using H2Ocean. I wasnt too happy with the results after mixing. They say it mixes at 430-460 for the (Ca2+) but I tested at 370. Everything else tested fine.
  15. All good stuff. We did try a sea hair, but it died before it ate a thing.
  16. What helps you keep your tank the cleanest in regards to keeping algae down. My wifes poor little nano. She just cant seem to keep the hair algae down. I told her she needs a better clean up crew. All she has is a LMB and a few hermits, the rest are corals.
