Unfortunately this is what is needed in a public forum. Thats why we need mods. And maybe a few more. Not to babysit, but perhaps when needed lock down a thread or delete until the board can review content. Far too often and I know 1st hand postings can be misinterpreted real fast and spiral out of control. Before you know it, feelings get hurt, friendships are lost, and in some cases businesses can be ruined. IMO this board does need moderators to step in and pull the plug fast as threads start to get off subject or as Jen said out of text of what the website represents. I have many times wondered why certain threads are allowed to stay active.
