  1. Most of the ones i have seen had more green in them. I hand picked the 2 pieces i have and they have mostly blue. Here is a link to one of my competitors to show you the way they look. http://www.uniquecorals.com/fishninverts/fishninverts-others/psychedelic-velvet-sponge-colony
  2. Im not really sure. Im trying to find out more.
  3. You guys ever see this type sponge before? I saw a few frags when I was at Reefapalooza. Then before leaving i visited a supplier and found some to bring back. They seem to be a lot more stable then other sponge. These dont melt away when they hit the air. The shimmer is opalescent and very cool. It shifts colors from golden green to deep blue. Just wanted to share cuz I never seen it before. I will have on the website soon
  4. Check out my auctions this week. I have 2 colonies listed that have 15-20 heads. One is a very hard to come by Red stalk. Click the link below my signature tag to see this weeks auctions.
  5. Now thats a heck of a slogan!!!!!! Love it!!!!! Not to mention would make a great website...LOL
  6. Im sure they had some great Aussie corals...wink...wink!!!!!!!! Cy and his crew are good peoples!!!!
  7. So why bother even putting it on ebay? The guy that owns the shop down the street bought it..LOL Too funny!!!!!
  8. Just a spectator this time around. Im sure I will get 10,000 ideas from the exhibit. Im hoping next year CoralAuction.com will be a vendor at the show!!!!
  9. I just found out today that my wife and I are going to make it to Reefapalooza after all. Is anyone else from the area going to make it?
  10. IMHO I believe it is the same coral, but I doubt I'll ever know for sure.(whistle)
  11. I have had the colony for almost 4 years now and it is a super slow grower. I have only sold maybe......5-6 frags off the "original" colony for $199. Im not saying that the "My Miami" is from a frag I sold him, Im just saying looks like one I sold him a few years ago which is pictured above. Could be, who knows??????
  12. I realize the marketing they have poured into that chalice and have done several dealings with Jason personally, but I find it very hard to believe that it's not just hype to help sell off all the future frags. I cannot see anyone in this economy or for that matter several people bidding for such an astronomical amount for a one eye frag especially on ebay of all places. Good marketing, but I really think it's the hype for future frags, not just this one. JMHO!!!!! I have thought for a very long time and actually made an old post about it somewhere that it looked identical to a chalice frag I had that I sold a few years ago. Oh well, best of luck to them. Maybe down the road I can sell my wanna-be for 1/2 as much....lol Here is the one that I sold a frag of a few years ago. Back then I called it the goldfinger watermelon.
  13. sweet. Im tempted to go to astoria, but man thats a long drive with this big boat.
  14. AWESOME pic, now I really want to go!!!!!
  15. So recently I bought a boat to go out with the family and do some day cruising along the river. Well, actually more for next year. However, I did want to go and do some sturgeon fishing prior to winterizing the boat. Anyone with success have any good spots along the columbia between the I-5 bridge and bonneville dam? If you know of any good spots where you have had some luck let me know. Im wanting to take my son out next week, weather permitting.(naughty)
  16. Im looking to buy a small LMB. Wanna sell it? PM me!!!
  17. I kind of look at it like this. In Jakarta which is where a ton of corals come from, the average temperature at the surface is 27c or approx 80f. The water cools down the deeper you go and most corals are harvested at near 20-25 ft. Sometimes much deeper. The water will drop several degrees at those depths. I would think the average temp would be around 75-77 degrees at those depths. I run a little on the cool side during the summer because it gets so freaking hot when those lights come on. I get nervous when I see my temps at 81-82 at mid day. Winter I bump up the tanks to 75 and let the lights warm them up to about 76-77.
  18. I keep my tanks at 74 and let them heat up to 77-78 by the lights throughout the day.
  19. My guess is montipora nudibranch http://blog.fragd.it/2009/02/18/how-does-your-montipora-nudibranch-look-like/
