I dont think it would sell for $1000 on feebay. Corals are selling to cheap right now with the economy. Did you see that 6 polyp frag of Duncans that sold for only $8....OUCH!!!!!

What do you mean by large? I have some Australian SPS coming in 2 weeks as a trial to see if I want to carry them.

I was busy today cutting acan frags for up coming auctions and kept passing over this fungia I bought a while back. I thought to myself hmmmmm, I've seen others do it. Why not me? So, I took the fungia over to the frag station and began to frag it. I will keep you posted of the frags as they continue to heal and form new mouths.

No, I use a syringe.

No water change. I didnt want to do a water change as I wanted to see the results from the vodka.

So I am on day 10 of the vodka dosing my systems and by George, I think it's working. You can see in the 1st photo how nasty and thick the brown algae was on my egg crate. In the 2nd and 3rd picks are a few days after I started and it appears that the algae is choking out which is exactly what I had hoped for. In some areas I can now see a green calcified looking algae like a coralene growing and where this is there is no brown gunk. I am going to continue the dosing as it appears to be providing the results I was hoping for. In addition the corals are looking great. I had several corals that were closing up and not looking good at all. I had all but counted them out. Now they are open all the way and looking great. They are either happy or drunk....maybe both. Anyways just wanted you to hear of my results so far.

I'm am following the dosing regiments for 500 gal systems since each one of my systems are 600 gal. I figure since it is relatively a new procedure I sure dont want to toast my corals. Not really any fish to be concerned with at this time.

I just started drinking....I mean dosing Vodka. Some of my frag tanks have had some algae that I am wanting to see if Vodka dosing will cure. I have bought several off ebay. Never had a problem with one. Make sure you can calibrate it.
