  2. Holy crap! That's insane. Gross at the same time.
  3. Thanks so much again. It was truly a pleasure meeting you both, and your tank is pretty awesome. I'll send you some pics soon of its new home. It's looking happy already.
  4. Holy cow! Has it really been that long?!? Where does the time go? That's awesome.
  5. Haha. Mine is just as it sounds. I love to fish, (bass mostly). And I love to reef. Fingers gotta smell like fish one way or another. lol. Great thread. Powderblue. I'm with ya. Prob my most fave fish.
  6. Put me down for 5 please. Where do we pick up?
  7. I know it's the last day to post up, however mine are still at the same place as my last update so seeing how Smann is killing it there's pretty much no point. It was definitely fun though. Looking foreword to the next one. Who knows, maybe someday I'll win one.
  8. It's an iwaki MD100. I thought I was golden but as soon as the heat hit the tank continued to climb.
  9. Just the circuit the tank is on. I suspect the chiller
  10. As do I, but only when power is restored.
  11. Thanks Isaac. I have it set to send all kinds of alarms/texts/emails. My issue is that if power goes out it then can't send those alarms. Especially a power failure alarm. I'm not sure if there is a circuit breaker that will reset itself after a certain period of time or not. However this seems like it's the only solution to me.
  12. I always have to hit it twice.
  13. Why is it ?,That when we have tank issues, it's always when you leave town, sleep, work, or any situation that ensures you are not around to quickly resolve the situation. My system has been up for just over 6 months now with no issues. And the one weekend I plan a camping trip, the circuit breaker trips. What's worse, is even joking with my brother that the only time stuff like this happens is when you leave town just prior to leaving. Well as I said.... Go figure. I come home after an awesome weekend of camping, to a dark tank, no flow, and and a what the heck moment. Apex log shows the tank was down for nearly 24 hours. Luckly looking at things, everything looks like it hasn't suffered too much. Nem was on a walkabout, all fish were still alive and temp was surprisingly still stable. Fingers crossed. Those of you with apex, how do you handle such an event? Obviously I get no alarm until power is restored. What's the trick around this? Also lets hear some other stories of not so great tank problem timing so we all may learn how to avoid some of these issues
  14. Do you have to plug it into a computer?
  15. To this day I still turn on the valve to my ATO reservoir and forget it constantly. Luckily I do have a float valve as a safety but still rely on it a bit too much.
  16. This looks great! Nice job. I personally love scorpion fish and anglers. I've always wanted a species tank just for one of those guys!
  17. Haha. I see a fowlr in the future. Lol
  18. Nice. Watch it like a hawk. I've had a flame as well as a potters for quite some time until........
  19. Bingo! That's where I would put my money.
