I would agree with Theron,i utilize the same set up but in an external overflow box.It is silent and also provides a failsafe.

Possibly,obviously he can get to his hole from multiple angles but i will give it a try.Thanks for the info

I have heard and like that idea only problem is his hidey holeis in the back of the tank and i cannot get at it.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to catch a firefish??Without haveing to dismantle everything. Is there some sort of trap i can make?(scratch)

Yes it is.But to be fair i must tell you my father has a 100 soft coral and my brother has both a 125 fowlr and a 55 mixed reef, so you can probally say i might have had a little more help than the average noob. Im not really content with the rock arrangement though, im kind of wanting to see your new tank sense its of similar size somewhat.

My tank dimensions are 36x18x25 My finish overall dimensions are 36x18x72 My sump/fuge dimensions are 25x18x24 MY TANK FINAL STAINING OF THE HOOD AND STAND ALL PUT TOGETHER MY SUMP CYCLING MY ROCK

Hello everyone, After an entire week of looking through your website,i have finally figured out how to post a new thread! I am not only new to the hobby but also to computing so please bear with me. Let me first off say how happy i am to have found a club so close to home,I have been reading on RAG for the last month,and dissapointed seeing as how they seem to be from the seattle area,but it worked out in my favor since thats where i found your club! My tank is a 70gal reef born on Jan 1, 2008. I have a 25gal sump/fuge,aqua c skimmer,phosban reactor,magdrive 1200 return pump,pacific coast chiller,and 5 stage RODI,and Neptune systems aqua controller. My lighting is two 110watt actinics,two 250 watt metal halides w/icecap ballast and moonlights. I look forward to digging up some pictures and sharing my progress so far.

Now im nervous...what type of urchin is it?
