  1. lol... WTG Debbie Downer! He's probably right though... sorry:p
  2. especially since the Trojan defense(90th) is ranked way below even UCLA's(65th)... Oregon's defense gets overlooked a lot because the offense is such a show to watch, but they are good... I don't care if your a OSU fan or an Oregon fan, at this point it's all about showing the country that the state can produce #1 talent teams. Football is traditionally based on burst performance. This team keeps it moving like a soccer team does. Burst+ constant stamina throughout the game. Nobody can keep up. It's exciting to watch the line officials get out of breath from just moving the chains. The announcers don't have to add boring filler because there's no time for it. The broadcasting channel has trouble taking the breaks they usually do since Oregon doesn't take breaks. The replay officials are crying that they don't have time to watch the replays too...lol. Have you ever heard of some of the statistics they are coming up with? Not to mention the other teams just can't keep up at all with it. By the second quarter the other team is dog tired and by the third they are mentally gone. These teams have lost all focus they are so tired from trying to keep up with this offense. Until now there has been an unspoken rule of "this is how you do things". Chip is changing that and nobody is liking it because they can't do anything about it. I think this offense will be copied soon and it could change the whole game as we know it. It will be studied by many that is for sure. Years later their will be talks about it and highlights from it. No longer does everything have to be long and drawn out between plays. It's truly great to watch and I'm not really a football guy, or an UO guy either. The game against UCLA reminded me of the first time I played madden against one of my friends who plays a ton. He knew every play he wanted before the end of the one before. I never had time to pick a play and he was off to the races again. Then he 2-points me for the hell of it. I know how UCLA felt because I never had a chance to even try. He just pummeled me then took the ball from me and repeated it. A radio broadcaster even described it like a video game too and I totally agree. The best way to stop this offense is to have a #1 defense that can force the 4 and out over and over and an offense that doesn't turnover the ball. I don't know of a team that can do that this year.
  3. good deal glad to hear it...
  4. When the lights are flashing like that it means the bulb and or other components related to the images being sent to the bulb are overheated and having trouble keeping up. Brads right, this can be caused from dust buildup sometimes sadly, mine was not...(is what I was told) Here's a little back log on what happened to me: My tv at the time was a 57" Toshiba DLP-HDTV. I had this happen but my picture locked up as well before it. The sound would still work as if the game was still going but picture was locked. I let it cool and played again later and it kept doing it. Took me a few more times and then I blew the bulb. My TV guy looked at it and said that their was insufficient cooling built into it and that the color processor(I think that's what he called it) was going out because of it. That part is almost as much to replace as the tv would be to replace. Short of having another one come in with another problem and take it from there, it was better to just get a new tv. His other suggestion was to add some extra cooling fans in the rear to shuttle some of the hot air out. Not a permanent 100% fix but could have worked for a long time... To give you the end result, I have it still sitting at my tv guys place patiently waiting for another Toshiba DLP to roll through and be declared dead so it can be harvested for the internals. Until then I bought Franks 62" Mitsubishi to fill the gap when he went up to some crazy 73" or something...lol:eek: The GF is crying about getting LCD's for the walls to replace this one and the boat anchor 32" flatscreen tube(oh my god this thing is like a small car) so I might have one for sale(naughty). I realize this may not be the info you wanted but it's better you know now then possibly blow everything out and be stuck like I was. Hope yours isn't the same problem...
  5. it might be worth the trip up to TAP in Tigard if you are still gonna possibly put a baffle in it as well. They will cut the scraps for you to size and sell ya the glue and probably give you a fair amount of advice on it all...
  6. cyano treatment is the best way. get as much as you can out of the tank with a suction tube and your hands. Then dose the treatment (found at any store) per the directions on the bottle. don't run your skimmer while doing this. It will go crazy and skim it away so it's less effective. I have some of this stuff if your coming out here today. Give me a call...
  7. you covering the whole state or one area in particular? I think your gonna find we are very blessed to have the amount of stores we have here and great stores at that. I know of non in Alaska so I am no help...
  8. thats a bummer but like rick and Reef said. A small scrap from tap(maybe $2.00) and a tube of the weld #4 and your golden. very easy to do...
  9. wow, that is a nice specimen. love the red tip...
  10. wrasses that are cool and you should try to check out are the red tailed tamarin wrasse yellow wrasse and my personal fave(the one I have)the melanurus wrasse
  11. yep, they can't see so they are easy to catch. Mine swam into the net after the food in it, then I grabbed the rest of him(he was 2 ft) and put him into a big rubber made container... I miss mine. how big is he? My be cool in a little tank for the office(plotting)...
  12. (laugh)lol... I did about a month straight of running down in the middle of the night to make sure I didn't blow a fuse or something because it was dead silent at the tank. It took a while to get used to the silence.
  13. I'm just trying to stock up on nice colored/good priced corals now so when I do have mine going it doesn't look like frag fest 2011!(laugh)
  14. Brad I'll take that larger acro thing for $35. that thing looks nice colored
  15. it's just past my place in Scappoose. About 30 minutes from Portland.
  16. superglue gel is your friend. most things will do surprisingly well. pieces of my corals break off and get into a cracks and start growing there all the time. It's natures invention...
  17. This was probably me. I use this and it is dead silent. But mine is draining directly down so it may not stay 100% silent if you have to 90 it. Worth a try though it is a great little mod...
  18. nobody ever does... So simple to do at the start yet so hard to do after you realize you really should have...DOH!
  19. can you post a pic of the sump I think I probably want it... any more info on the electronic auto top off may be interested in that also.
  20. I don't know what pump your running or what the flow output is but you could always cut the return line and add in some locline to direct the flow where you want it. Cut it and put one of these on... Then screw one of these in... Then maybe toss one of these on the end... Then add some of this on each end... Then add one of these on each end of those... Then you'll get something that looks similar to this that will hell direct your flow better... If you have a lower flow pump maybe take the Y out and just use one line in. You only need the nozzle in the water though so you can start it high if you needed. It's never too late to drill:p
  21. Just like nick said. I bought a new snapper and grabbed a dart impeller for $20 to make it a dart. The grooves on the inside of the dart impeller are twice as wide as the snapper impeller so it's able to push more water through.
  22. there was a huge variety in those shots. Pretty surprised to see the barracuda that many time in there. lots of tangs, wrasse, pipefish, boxfish, a ray a turtle, and tons more. That was very cool...
