  1. If they are mogul MH I will take the other two 400W halides. What length are the others. I run 4 blues right now and am thinking of putting in one white for some color balance. I am just down in Scappoose so I can come up there no problem some night to grab them.
  2. Seahorse does consignment stuff sometimes. usually just tanks and fish I think though. You could call them and see if they could help you out if you can't sell it outright.
  3. Found this site while looking around trying to choose which level(10k, 14k, 20k)bulb was best for me with my newly purchased 400w PFO ballast. Thanks again CCR, I posted this mostly because we were talking about bulb testing and such. Pretty neat to see the results, hope it interests all of ya. It still has not helped me to choose what I am going to get so while your here help me out in choosing. I am running a 175w now so anything is gonna be a shock for the tank at first. What do you think... http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/feb2004/feature2.htm
  4. I have 3 that are almost double that size, moves my powerheads(80) all the time.

    Anemone ID

I had one that looked identical to that long ago, I was told it was a purple tipped seabae, don't seem to live long for some reason.

    Hair Algae

I was told sometimes they can read 0 because they are being consumed by the hair algea to stay alive. I had a bad outbreak of it. When I say bad I mean BADDDDD. I was pulling out 5 inch long clumps for 10 minutes regularly. Almost lost a lot of stuff at one point. I bought Phosphate Control by blue life, and have been overloading it in my tank for a month or more and it has all disappeared. My urchins clean up a lot of the dying stuff too but the phos control did the real deed. I have been overloading my tank with it at 30 drops a day(75g with lots of hair algae) and the only thing it affects is the hair algae for me. Consult an expert of coarse but I swear by it now...

    blue tang

My buddy's blue tang will go straight at the powerhead all day long. He gets pushed out and goes right back. Then after about 20 minutes of that he goes into the watchman goby's cave and lays sideways across the goby.(nutty) Typical blue tang, should be called the clown tang but thats already taken...
  8. I'm actually in Scappoose but I work in the industrial area in NW portland, just off yeon. Depending on the day I may be able to meet you after work maybe or something like that. I drive for work so I won't know where I am gonna be until that morning. A weekend day is good as I work both days every week and don't leave on the weekends. I can pretty much slip away any time then if I have to. I'll pm you my email so we can exchange bits. Let me know when you were thinking and I will try to work something out...
  9. Yes, I need to get something a little better then my 175W. I have a really crappy work schedule though so it may be hard to meet up right away. Are you heading up to Portland any time soon?
  10. not only that, I always call him and see if I can grab him a fish or a coral while I am at the store... I am definitely a pusher and a persuader too:) Thanks for the welcome guys.
  11. I figured I better share to get my name out here on the forums and say hello. I will get pics but none as of yet. After giving my well established 29g tank to a friend to start his addiction in the saltwater tanks, I picked up a 75g reef setup. I have done a little changing here and there and here is what I have in it now. My favorite by far is my single finned yellow banded maroon clown. I have had him for 5 years or so. A large lawnmower blenny, a pajama cardinal that eludes my green net every time, a 24" snowflake eel, and 4 urchins. All types of crabs and snail, big and small. Mostly softer corals, but I am shifting to hard more every day. 2 long tentacle anemones(what I kept of 5 from one huge one a year ago), Mushrooms of the red, green, purple, and pink types. one brain coral(almost looks purple with blue). one green and one red monapora start. A little Xenia. A large kenya tree, and singularia(sp) coming out of my ears... There are a few more too but I don't know the names so it'll just give you something to wonder about until I post some pictures up. On a worse note, my second favorite died a while back. A beautiful blue hippo tang that was just the funniest fish ever. Loved to have you touch him, and almost always slept upside down on my biggest powerhead. He was about 6-7" when he started losing the weight and not being himself anymore. Pretty old guy even though he wasn't that big. I will be getting a few more tangs later for sure but I don't know exactly what yet. Little long winded but thats me. I'm Brandon from Portland.... :)
  12. I think I may be interested in it. I need to upgrade my 175W dual PFO. I am just north of Portland though.
