  1. Also keep in mind that they produce A LOT of waste for their size. So water changes are critical.
  2. Yep, plastic bags, and a cooler should do the trick. Good luck!
  3. Mine has been as low as 74 over night, and as high as 82 during the day, although I try to run it around 77-78
  4. It doesn't work on the original iPhone, just the 3g and the 3gs

  6. It is incredibly irritating. On a better note, I learned how to create my own ringtones today. I'm stoked! I've made like 25, takes about a minute a piece and doesn't cost me a dime. Woot! If anyone wants the tutorial, let me know and I'll forward it.
  7. Do you have more of that GSP that grows like crazy? The frags that I got before has grown WAY off the plug and I think that if I glue 2 more frags to the back wall that I should have my forest in no time....

    ID me please

Any chance you'll be fragging those magicians any time soon? :-)
  9. I had a green mushroom that was attached to a large shell when I bought it. Shortly there after a hermit decided to move into the shell and packed that mushroom around for weeks.
  10. I also have a couple of random polyps that don't match their colonies. I believe that one particular colony used to be next to a different flavor of zoa and may be the cause of my "oddball" polyps. Pretty cool though!
  11. The only method I have found that reliably took care of all the majano problem in my last tank was......to completely remove all rocks that had them and dry the buggers out. The rocks are still sitting in a bucket. I will eventually add them to a system to "re-seed" them before adding back into my tank. I tried joe's juice, aptasia X, blow torch, lemon juice injected in, and kalk. Nothing worked for me....and in fact made the problem worse since they spread when stressed. Good luck though! If you try these methods, be sure to let us know what works!
  12. I believe that there is only one way to describe that post and it is "sarcasm." Probably someone who knows something and is making fun of all of the over priced tanks on CL.
  13. Hey Ryan! Thanks for the clove polyps! It is a very generous frag with great color. They opened right up when I put them in my tank. I was in a hurry when I got home, so I didn't bother acclimating and I just dunked them right in. So even after being in a plastic baggie till around noon and getting the shock of the change in water, they still bounced right back and look awesome. Thanks a bunch!
  14. Mine are still babies, but they sure enjoy biting me already. Thankfully they're really small and it doesn't hurt........yet.
  15. If you can get down to Philomath you can borrow mine. Or I can meet in Salem on Tuesday afternoon. Let me know if that'll work. I know its a drive, but I have one available to use.
  16. I want one. Also, I'm heading to Eugene on saturday. If you and Sean want to figure out payment, I can bring his frag with me and deliver it. I'd need to pick up frags in the morning so that I can get mine acclimated before heading down south. I'm meeting someone at 3, but could feasibly be there to get a frag to Sean by 2:30. Let me know what you guys think!
  17. Hey hey! Lay off HP and the half blood prince! I liked it! Of course....I also have a strict policy about going into movies with zero expectations, that way I'm never disappointed.
  18. oh how cute!! Good luck with her, she's adorable!
  19. I'd be interested in attending an event like this. Although I understand the financial considerations, I also believe that participation is voluntary and those that would like to be involved likely understand that the goal would be more to promote aquaculture and local trade as opposed to straight profit. Either way, I'd love to see something like this happen.
  20. I've had 2 fish go carpet surfing, but I hold that that was my fault. About a week and a half ago though I noticed that my tank was one clown fish short. Darn! It was my smaller one so I figured that he had finally kicked it. WRONG! I was topping off the tank and noticed a flash of orange in one of the back sections on my tank. Turns out he made it through the baffle and into the chamber in the back. Of course my net is much to large to fit back there, so I went fishing for an hour with a glass cup. Eventually caught him! Yay! Steve is back! (my clown fish are named Simon and Steve)
  21. Welcome to the addiction! Its great to see new people getting into this hobby, and with such a great sized tank! I'm a newbie myself so I won't be of much help, but I'm happy to share my experiences with my tanks anytime.
  22. I have 2 peppermint shrimp and they did the job for me. I don't have anymore aptasia, so if you want to give my shrimp a try I can try to catch them.
