  1. I'd be in for an MP10 at $110......How do I get you paid?
  2. Welcome to the site! We are a photo loving group and would look forward to seeing your progress!
  3. I'm considering upgrading my lighting since my tank is pretty tall and the lights it came with aren't really sufficient. So I get that I buy a 250w ballast and a bigger bulb, but do I need to replace anything else to upgrade? I assume the reflector will be fine, should I worry about wiring?
  4. Replied. Sunpod sold pending delivery.....
  5. like the title says.....150w sunpod...16.5" fixture. Fit nicely over a cube tank, one leg was broken and has been repaired. All LEDs work, comes with a newer 20k ushio bulb. Great light, but I no longer run a cube. $100 obo. Can deliver to Feb meeting at Roy's or pick up!
  6. I may have some nuclear green palys to trade if there is any interest. They grow like crazy!
  7. Cattle prods HURT!!! I worked at a rodeo for a while and the boys thought it was funny as heck to hot shot me when I wasn't paying attention. I learned REAL quick to watch the show from the safety of a stands....not the back side of the chutes.
  8. Zoas grow like weeds in my tank. They seem to thrive on neglect....
  9. There is a true peppermint shrimp, and another that looks really similar. I've had great luck with the shrimp....no aptasia to be found now! Just be sure that you feed them after the aptasia is gone or they will starve.

    Rare clowns

Do you have any picassos currently available Dave? I'd love a pair! Can you put more than 2 clowns in a system?
  11. Thread moved to softies discussion.
  12. They're great at cleaning sand, but they also make sand storms and re-arrange everything! Mine piled all of the sand from one side of the tank right in the middle and would get really upset if I moved it back. Very effective cleaners though!

    clown hosting

Lol, I was referring to mine! Dumb fish have hosted powerheads, tried hosting the baffle for the over flow (only to get sucked through and live in one of the back chambers for a while), "flirted" with their reflections, and on multiple occasions have been lucky enough that I found them AS they jumped out of the tank and was able to save them. Next time.....maroons.

    clown hosting

Someone told me to shine a light on the anem. at night and that that had attracted the clowns to it. I never tried and probably as a result my clowns prefer to host my power head.....silly fish....
  16. We have had 13 new memberships and 1 new sponsor in the last month. Way to go guys! Thank you for all that you do. If you have recently become a member, and have NOT received your card in the mail, please bear with me. I will be sending those out asap, but it may be until the first of the year as I will be traveling for the holiday. Thanks again for your support guys!
  17. So I was doing some tank maintenance, and just to clarify the result of the scoly vs. lobo question....there are sharp projections on the skeleton. So definitely lobo. Woot!
  18. Go to the link, bottom right hand corner is a "back arrow" tab. Click that and look at the search engine's background.
  19. *sigh* I'm happy to hear that! I really like this little guy and I'd hate to have to evict him without lots of time to enjoy the beauty!
