  1. That is a sweet setup(rock2) I really like the cardboard hood in the first pic(naughty)
  2. Thanks but that was the other tank. I decided to drill it and it was tempered and shattered. Went and bought another one and have it up and running now. You ought to do very well with the MH I love the way mine looks. Get some pics posted.
  3. Well here it is all together. Got the sump instaslled and put the skimmer and heater in there. Most everything survived the trash can but did lose a cleaner shrimp and one clown. They have since been replaced. Here are a few pics but the water is kind of cloudy due to a diamond goby that is moving all the sand around to where he likes it. The pics are crappy but enjoy.
  4. Looks great I think sometimes you just need to be different. That is something you do not see everyday I think it turned out well can not wait to see it all put together.

    Zoos!!!

Those are sweeeeet(rock2) Where did you pick those up?
  6. Well after actually thinking about it and doing some layout I think I am going to keep it with the corner. I do have the room but if you do the math and look at everything the size of cube I want is real big when you turn it in the corner. I would like to have a stand with three doors but I think two will work just fine. Now it is time to figure everthing else out IE lights, sump, skimmer and a few other things. Will keep you posted when I get things set in stone. Thanks agian!
  7. Am looking into getting a cube tank set up. Tank is going in a corner in the living room. My question is would you match the corner with the tank or turn it so the tank is 45 degrees to the corner. One way you get a two sided view the other you get a three sided view. Have not really thought of this so am just asking what everyone thinks. Thanks in advance!

    Zoos!!!

Nice pics! I need to find some of those for the kids tank. Then maybe by the time I get my tank they will have grown a little(laugh)
  9. Am going to do a test run this afternoon and we will see. If it does out comes the dremel and will take off some more. The leve lis actually about an 1/8" above the plastic trim.
  10. Tank is just another 29. Did not want to change due to stand and light need to fit it. Hopefully everything works out.
  11. Well ended up just buying a new tank and starting from scratch. After seeing Impurs post in my other thread on drilling a tank it got me thinking(scratch) It is a small tank and an overflow box on the inside would take away from the space. So I ended up doing the same thing he did and built an external overflow out of glass. Here are a few pics and yes I suck at using silicone I asm not sure if I got more on me or where it was supposed to go(laugh) After it sets up tonight and does a little drying will plumb it and get the sump in the stand. Hopefully will have everything back together tuesday night. Am going to Tap on monday to get a black acrylic sheet for the back to hide the overflow. Well here are some pics.
  12. Yes I thought of that but just went and bought a new one. It was 50 bucks at Petco for a All Glass brand. So hopefully this one drills ok(whistle)
  13. Had the hose running over it and was just letting the drill do the work. I drilled the 1/8" with no problem so I am not sure what happened. I used to work in a glass shop years ago that tempered glass and it broke just like tempered glass would break. Guess it was just not meant to happen(scratch)
  14. Well it did not walk right throught the 29DOH! It turns out it looks like the back was tempered. The thing shattered about half way through. Well everyone is in a 32 gallon trash can right now and I am looking for another tank. Might have to just get an acrylic and that way I know I can drill it(laugh) Wish me luck!
  15. Well tried it with some 1/8" glass I pickedup today. Walked right throught it with no problem with the hole saw. So hopefully it will go this smooth with the 29.
  16. There is also a Harbor Frieght in Vancouver now. And will let you know how it turns out you never know I might be looking for another 29 gallon tank(laugh) I bought a few pieces of glass from Parkrose when I was there today am going to try to drill one with the hole saw tonight.
  17. Well guess it was not ment to be called the guy tonight and someone was comeing to look at it. Did not here back so I guess its gone. It was only 150 bucks for the tank and stand and did not look all that bad. Oh well guess it is time to spend some more on a cubeDOH!
  18. I have read many a post on it and have a diamond hole saw to do it. Am wondering though where can I get a diamond cutter for a dremel or roto zip tool? Looked at Parkrose Hardware and the ones they had there said not for drilling. Thanks!
  19. Sweet tank! I would still like to build a cube but the dollars for one
  20. Dont worry about being negative I would like everybodys perspective. And I can see what you are saying about a clear view but I can deal with not getting good pictures:D Hell I can not take a good picture in my kids 29 with no bowDOH!
  21. Am looking at one for sale and was wondering what everyones thoughts are on them? Good or bad let me know. Have heard a few things but am looking for anyones imput. And the tank size is a 48 I think. Thanks!
  22. Well thanks will have to check out the cheaper ones for sure. I looked at the Neptune Systems Aquacontroller JR and it sure was nice but the price  It is only for the 29 so I do not need anything special.
  23. Real nice tank I checked it out a couple of weeks ago at Waves. If Joel can get another one in I might have to build one to:D Also if you still want some help with the light let me know.
  24. Not to worry was not taking any offense. And as for the anemone it has not moved but about 3 inchs since I put it in the tank. I tried for the front of the rock but it decided to go hide around the corner. Might have to get another one only one clown likes to go in there. If the other comes around it the one gets rude real quick. You can definately tell who is in charge between the two. And as for another set up not real sure yet. Have a deal working on a tank but the dimensions are kind of funny. I would like to do a cube either a 24x24 or a 30x30 not real sure yet. But at the same time would like something 3 feet wide so ? Am still thinking and looking real hard.
