Yup - was just there on Saturday, picked up a killer wrasse.

My first experience with them was very good - the fish were in great shape and with some slight modifications what I wanted (the supplier was out of the one I initially wanted, but my backup was there). My last/current experience has been less than ideal. I've been waiting for over 2 weeks for them to get back to me about a ballast because he had the cheapest option for me. But, 4 unreturned emails over this time and an unanswered PM drove me to ebay, where I got it for even less thanks to someone who bought himself the wrong one I do think I remember Doran saying that he had some internet issues - but seeing him logged on here most days makes me skeptical....

(clap) You're right - there are always going to be good kids but it's going to be the bad ones that get the attention, whether it be in the media, or on small forums like this. I doubt we'd see a thread that says "Hey, I saw some awesome teenagers today. They were volunteering for Earth Day, picking up garbage, and helping old ladies with their groceries." Not a knock on anyone, it's just that in our world negativity seems to get the most publicity.

Yay, finally made it over to the store today. He's got a ton of really big colonies of zoas, rhodactis and some cool looking mushrooms. His hard coral selection so far is a little low, but what he had was quite nice. I saw a REALLY nice monti that he sadly wouldn't frag just yet because it's still small - called it "Fine Wine" it was a super green base with some killer purple polyps, unlike any I'd seen before. And he had a killer acro that was called "Candlelight" that he said is on ATL - but I just looked and couldn't see it. It was a purpleish base and almost glowing new growth and polyps again, VERY nice. The other guy in the store was jealous that I was from Portland, because of Upscales. I also gave a shoutout to the other stores I like in town like waves, Rose City, Seahorse thanks to the new stuff and SWFS. Next time I come down I'll likely be picking some stuff up - especially if that fine wine grows out. drool.

yup - very different than what I was thinking it might be. I have some chemiclean if you need it. I used it once and it ROCKED. I'd pass it over your way for a good discount (or frags of any hard corals you have) if you're interested

Yeah, I would expect to check it. And would let them know it's live animals. Still haven't made it there though :( ended up going for beer last night which prevented me fro mgoing, and it's looking like tonight's the same :(

SW Imports is the one close to work, and I think I might try Octopuss Gardens on my way to the airport. Although I just called and they are open until 9, might go tonight and see what they have! Might have to see if I can find Aquatic Warehouse.... sadly, my meeting schedules have changed though - so I might have to sneak out earlier than I though should I find something good. Aquatic Warehouse is very close to Octopus by the sounds of it, but they close at 7 so that wouldn't work out for me to pre-scout. Bummer. Might need to spend a weekend down here sometime.

there's algae on there that we can't see and he can - I'd say he's probably fine Give it a week or so and your blooms should start and he'll have plenty of food

is it very tight to the rock and seems to grow like algae ? I have some on some of my rock, it eventually slowed itself down and I don't even notice it anymore. I don't think anyone I had ate it though - and it never crawled onto corals though. It did grow over coralline however, which frustrated me.

Did you add that guy right away? Or did it come inside the rock?

That should be good - seeing as you're putting it on whatever works best for you should be our starting point.
