Looking for 60" actinic 454

I have a GC to Sponser Champion lighting I want to use. I need two 60" vho bulbs, box charge is $32, U can put up to 12 bulbs in a box . Any body want to split the shipping?

Well I found out the glass was not tempered when It broke under the heat of the halide. I am pretty sure that tempered glass is also hard to cut. I had the local shop cut my tempered.

Did he still have the growout's prizes himself or were they in other tanks?

I'm not a fan of IO but have been using the old kent reef and switched to the new my last bucket. I did notice a higher Cal level and it seems to work well for me. I just wanted to say that Mike is right about "your eye's " tell you when to do a change. This is probbable the biggest thing I have learned after all these years reefing. Nothing works better then really looking at the tank...........It will tell you when it's HAPPY and SAD.

Ruby reef works about 75% of the time but I have found you need to run it 3-4 times the recommended dosage.

I have never heard of cyno being a part of a tank maturing. I think you just have a cyno outbreak and need to treat it. I have had lot's of new tanks and never had that as a part of the maturing process. Go buy some cyno treatment and it will get rid of it with in 2 days. And it probably will not return. It is more like a bacterial infection and once you treat it , it goes away.

I have a pendant that I bought it is a smaller 6x10 size It had a 174 de and I switched it over to a 250 because it's going over a smaller nano. It had no uv glass in it and I bought some and It groke because of the heat within a hour of putting it on the pendant. It was only 1/8 glass becouse it was the only thing I could find that was uv shielded . Tried lexon and it was to hot also .The glass was $28 so it's not like i want to keep trying that.Can I use 1/4 tempered and will it filter out enough uv rays.

They do make a single ended Phoenix 250. Never tried it but loved the DE bulb.
