  1. I too had left over flatworms after a couple of treatments of Flatworm Exit and thought that I would always have them. I then added a sixline and haven't seen a worm in over 4 months. I added the wrasse after my second treatment so the population of worms was pretty low and it took care of the rest. I have also heard that the Melanarus Wrasse is a flatworm eater and would have tried one if I could have found one at the time.
  2. Is it the normal brown Xenia or the white pom pom variety. If it is the brown, and it end up melting, I have 180 gallons worth of the stuff that I can give you as much as you want. The stuff spreads like the plague in my tank and it is used to metal halide lighting. I can't get rid of the stuff fast enough. Let me know if you need any.
  3. Check out the first picture of the sump to the left of the calcium reactor.
  4. Looking great but did you realize that you have a leg with a shoe in your sump? (laugh)
  5. Looking great Frank. I'm glad the clam's doing well.
  6. I have a few fish that I am looking to find new homes for including: 1) Adult Regal Angel - I have had this fish for over a year. It is in great shape and eats anything that I put in the tank. I am letting it go because it has a taste for clams and my prized gigantea anemones. I have a few frags of SPS that it does not seem to bother but not much else in the way of corals. Would make a great addition to a fish only tank or FOWLR tank. Asking $65.00 OBO 2) Sub Adult Queen Angel - I have had this fish since it was about the size of a quarter and is now about 3". It has lost most of its stripes and is turning into a beautiful fish but it is behaving like the Regal Angel above so it has to go. Asking $65.00 OBO 3) Green Wrasse - Cool light green wrasse that is great at eating pest inverts such as pyramid snails and flatworms. It was added to the tank as one of my first fish and did not like the addition of any other wrasses so it needs a change of scenery. Asking $15.00 OBO 4) Really cool skunk clown fish. Not sure if it's a hybrid or misbar but it has only a white dot on the side of its head instead of full side bars. Asking $20.00 OBO I'm including pictures of all the fish. The queen angel is now bigger and the body stripes are almost gone. Thanks for looking. David
  7. I still use them on and off but your more than welcome to just borrow them to compare color for a few days, no charge.
  8. Sorry, I didn't mean it to sound harsh. I probably should have stated it another way. Glad the pump sold.
  9. For a 25 gallon tank, you really only need about 75-125 gph flowing through your sump.
  10. reef-fisher- where are you located? I have a used Radium and a used Helios 20k that you could borrow for a day if you are anywhere close to Oregon City. David
  11. Finally. Maybe the Pac 10 can now join the rest of the conferences in some decent bowl games.
  12. Not exactly what you're looking for, but I've got a 3/4" SS with a burned out motor.
  13. Chewie. Is that using mesh or a needle/pin wheel?
  14. Hey Jordan, let me know when you decide what you are going to do. I have an Octopus NW-200 that I need to upgrade also and am having trouble deciding on what to do. There is a member on RC who said that he would help me mod a Laguna 1500 which is a poor mans Red Dragon and is the pump they are using on the new Octopus Pro 300. It would be a beast on your G4.
  15. That sure looks like a H. magnifica. If it is, it definitely is not a low light anemone and it gets huge. Maybe Jordan (Ron Popeil on the board) will chime in with an opinion. Where did you get it?
  16. I've had this clam since it was about 3" but my Regal Angel and Queen Angel have decided it tastes quite delicious so it has to go. I am asking $125.00 OBO. Thanks.
  17. I've been running a 3500 as my return pump since July '06. No problems so far. I would love to replace my OTP needle wheel with an Eheim needle wheel but don't want to spend that much. The problem with trying to find a good replacement needle wheel pump is finding actual flow rates and air draw to compare the different pumps.
  18. I'm interested in the Aquaconnect bulb and sent you a PM.
  19. I also need the same pump for my NW-200 skimmer but would like to use something different than the octopus OTP-3000 that came with the skimmer. Does anyone have any suggestions on a better replacement pump that is readily available? Thanks
  20. I haven't brewed in many years but would love to stop by and see how things have changed over the years and to meet some of you local reefers. David
  21. The gulf stream kits do not come with the magnets.
  22. I'm assuming that you still have the magnets since the mod kits do not include these. I really like my gulf stream kits from www.tritonaquatics.com . It increased the flow of a MJ 1200 to 2500gph and it come with a pivoting ball mount that connects to the slot in the MJ.
  23. Check out the Triton Aquatics Gulf Stream II kit. They will mod a MJ 1200 to 2500GPH and come with a pivoting mount for $20.00 - $25.00. They really put out a lot of flow and are well made. www.tritonaquatics.com
