  1. I know you said that your water parameters were in line but I have read that sometimes a GFO product can cause a decline in alkalinity.
  2. I would definitely use the Radium over the 12k Reeflux on an HQI ballast. The radium is actually an HQI rated bulb that should last over a year. The SE Reeflux is a probe start bulb that is meant to be fire on a regular m58 ballast and would be severely over driven on an HQI ballast. This is the same setup I use and have used both of these bulbs. If you would like to see what both bulbs look like on the HQI ballast you are welcome to come over some time and take a look.
  3. The problem with the 12k Reeflux is that the PAR is very low in the 250w version. Not sure why the 400w 10k and 12k are almost the same PAR but not so with the 250w bulb.
  4. I'm also in OC, so if you need some help, just PM me.
  5. I just took down my AGA 120 gallon tank, stand and canopy and upgraded to a 180 so the setup is now for sale. I have had the tank since July of '06 and have had no problems. The tank has dual corner overflows and each overflow has a 1" and 3/4" bulkhead already installed. The 3/4" bulkheads have 3/4" PVC plumbed into them. The back of the tank is painted black and it has never been drilled for a closed loop. The stand and canopy are fully functional but could use some cleaning and some touch up. Please keep in mind that I just moved this and have not had a chance to clean it up yet so the pictures are not very pretty. The one thing that I want to point out is the silicon is jagged along some of the seams. This is on the edge where it is very thin and not between the panels at all. This was not a problem at all for me but wanted to point it out. I have included a picture of this for all to see. I'm asking $300.00 OBO. Please let me know if you have any questions.
  6. How old are the Radiums? Thanks
  7. Good to hear that things are improving. Is there anyone else that has had this problem with IO. I just purchased a 160 gal bucket and have already used about 1/4 of it and think that I will test it right now.
  8. Just wanted to let everyone know that I found a tank that will work. Thank you to all that offered to help. It is pretty amazing that there are so many people that would be willing to help someone that they have never met.
  9. I'm upgrading to a 180 from my current 120 and it's going in the same location so I need a 100 gal or larger stock tank for about a week. I would be willing to pay a small fee for the use of it for the week. I plan on making the switch next weekend but would need the tank by Wednesday to make up some additional water early. Let me know if you can help.
  10. I picked up a 180 with the overflows. Was tempted to go with the 210 but thought my arms would be too short to reach the bottom.
  11. Thinking of upping the wattage of my halides and just checking if anyone is interested in trading. My ballast is one year old and in great shape. Thanks.
  12. I think we have the same type. I also had some of the pink-white pom-pom but it crashed during a heat spike. If you can give some newreefer02, go for it,k I don't get to woodburn very often. I also live near the high school, we should plan a time to meet and check out our tanks. David
  13. Possibly, but since it's free, I can't afford to spend much in gas to deliver it. If my schedule takes me in that area I'll let you know.
  14. Yes, I still have quite a bit of it left.
  15. I have the following 250w singled ended metal halide bulbs for sale. 2 - Coralvue Reeflux 12k 1 - XM 10k 1 - Radium 1 - 14k from seller greatdel on Ebay All of the bulbs except the bulb from greatdel were used for 6 months, however they were being driven by a PFO HQI ballast. The greatdel bulb was used for 30 hours but was way too yellow on the HQI ballast. All bulbs fire on my ballast at time of posting. Asking $10.00 each. Thanks.
  16. Thank you Phil and good job Pat Kilkenny. Can't wait to see Oregon a perennial top 25 hoops program.
  17. Thanks guys, I hope they do well in your tanks. (icon)
  18. Sure, responded to your pm.
  19. Quite a bit in my 120. Multiple stalks, probably 50+, throughout the tank.
  20. Anyone? This is going to get flushed this weekend so come and get some.
