    pH

I agree with the airline from skimmer. Thats what I had to do. It helped, just keep in mind that ph, alk and calcium are all linked. Keeping a good balance with your cal and alk will help keep a balance in your ph.
  3. I went ahead and changed the thread title for ya.
  4. No florescent orange? LOL, algae is some of the weirdest stuff. When your tank is new it will go through a few interesting cycles and then with some luck it will find a balance.
  5. Agreed, your tank looks to clean anyhow
  6. I always cut them from the rock, leaving a portion to regrow, then hack into adequate sizes (could care less about mouth only because they will just grow another one). The big fun comes putting all the little guys in a rubbermaid tub with holes and fill 1/4 the way with sand (lid down) and leave them in there till they attach to some large sand or rock bits then you can glue the sand / rock fragments to something else later. If I don't do it that way they would always just slime from what they are glued to and blow away into the skimmer or to the back of the tank and find them a year later.
  7. In the short term some of that natural light in the back there might not hurt to much
  8. ditto the jumping, those guys will need a tight lid.
  9. I built my own some time ago, worked great. It was a sulfur based unit. Worked great, set to a drop once every other second and amazing how it can wipe out the no3 in just a few days flat.
  10. Welcome to the club, Totally exotic has some great stuff and he ships to your door. Guys please keep the thread on topic.
  11. I used to have some of those in freshwater, very fun little characters.
  12. Prolly same car, one of the guys here has a v8 or v10 audi and had to have it towed up there (paid 125k and to do basic service up to portland it goes LOL). Course if its older you can have it fixed local by someone else if its not a dealer covered car.
  13. Couple guys here have Mercedes and Audi's, the guys with Mercedes have more trouble than the Audi's here. I will say they are both ridiculously expensive to maintain.
  14. I'm just glad Peugeot got what it deserved in the end. They need to Fire Anthony Davis, and Le Mans should fine him for pure stupidity, not once, not twice, but three times.
  15. If you need any help give me a holler.... Anytime.
  16. UNBELIEVABLE! I seriously hope that someone learned a valuable lesson here. By returning the items I do believe they have a heart and possible did learn a lesson. I'm so glad you got your property back.
  17. Someone in Eugene bought it from me, so he decided it was too big? I know he was kinda shocked when he came to pick it up. I assume he built the stand as well. Looks good.
  18. Yup, that's my old tank.... I figured it would show itself sooner or later.

    I've had it!

I have never had an issue with the yellow coris wrasses, but I always have had them as the less dominant wrasse.
  20. I have some laying around if your interested.... need to get a count. I think I have 6 or more

    Some pics

Glad it worked out for ya Impur!
  23. I have had both, and I like the look of the MH, the light from t-5 has no shimmer. Cost of electricity for me was negligible savings with T-5, but heat is the big savings with T-5 in my opinion (with my system I had) When faced with a choice for cost T-5 when faced with what looks and works best MH. I will setup a 225+ gallon and when I do it will most 100% sure be MH (14k) I think your really going to hate the color of the 3 act and 5 10k, you should consider a few higher temp bulbs in the config, not sure of brand your looking at.
