  1. I agree. F & S rocks. Zero questions on any issues...they just take care of it. I buy all of my salt from them.......6 buckets of reef crystals to my door for $224 bucks. One time i had a bucket that had a precarious dent in it at the top of the bucket. Just one little tiny clump in the top of the bucket and they had a new bucket to my door within a few days...and of course didnt want the original one back. Their online help desk can take care of any issues within minutes. Ive neve ordered any livestock from them.......but i have heard great thigns as wll on that end.
  2. Devils advocate??? I personally have a different definition of devils advocate..........lol He IS the Devil though. Happy Birthday Brandon .
  3. I will just offer that depending on how much water you use......a good ro/di can pay for itself rather quickly. AND save you gas money and effort of having to go pick the stuff up as well as truly know what it is your putting in your tank. The full control is worth something as well IMO. I DO understand for people that arent using that much water that it makes more sense ot buy it, but you cant always count on the fact that the person you are buying it from is maintaining their equipment to provide quality. A .5-1 phosphate level will cause you a ton of grief
  4. FREE purebred female chihuahua named Grizzly with any tank purchase. She will pee and crap on the carpet at least once a day, yap incessantly at nothing and lick you every chance she gets. Shes GREAT. However.....the chicks will dig her for reasons beyond my comprehension
  5. sold in 16 minutes on that other site, and 3 people on the waiting list.....lol .
  6. SOME jobs make that ok............... Im a little intrigued as well however.....
  7. Those guys ARE cool. So they are reef safe huh?? Are they jumpers??
  8. Welcome How far of a drive is Wisconsin?? I think you are even farther than i am from most of these guys.......i think.... .
  9. Im more of a instant gratification guy.......i super glue them where i want them..... Its kind of a brutal process.....but they get over it after a few days... 1. take a q-tip and rub the underside of the shroom where you are going to glue it dry.......keep doing it until it stops sliming...this will take a few q-tips 2. dry the piece of rock or rubble that you want it off at the spot you are going to glue and put a glob of glue there 3. Set the shroom in the glob and leave it on the counter for 20 minutes or so. 4. put them where you want I have forgot about them for hours on the counter and they still are fine the key is exposing the flesh for the glue to burn and stick to and not the slime.......
  10. Yeah...they are rpe's. There are about 50 of them on the right side nextto that colony of bam bams. They are fine together.......just happened to be closed in that pic...... thanks though Actually all of the rpe's in that picture are new ones that werent there 6 months ago..........thats why they are so small. Its kind of strage that the rpe's are choosing to spread out right on the edge of the bab bams instead of towards any open spaces... cyenna.......since we are only talking 3 polyps.........throw them in a bag......ill take my chances on whether they make it or not. They should be fine......... .
  11. Sweet fish. Im glad i was wrong about the bryopsis. Either i had a different nuclear kind on steroids or i ticked God off..........whatever the case may be, whenever i see the stuff i cringe........
  12. Nice Bangaii - Cat stare off Andy
  13. IF i DO still count .......i am not interested in the plastic cradle ones...just the ceramic ones......
  14. Agree with Dave......i prefer the over the top returns........backsiphon is non issue as the water simply falls away, and the canopy hides them. You will need to make sure the water level in your sump can handle what will backsiphon until the water DOES fall away however. Have you decided on a skimmer yet??

  17. On the 90.........I have enough flow now.
  18. Do you know where you got the bryopsis from??? Personally, I think its morally ok to execute them if you do.........just MY opinion of course Bryopsis isnt like hair algae that just grows in any old tank that provides the nutrients......it needed to be introduced. I know where i got mine from. It was visible when i bought the corals from the guy.............unfortunately i didnt know any better at the time :(
  19. Is that scribbled rabbitfish eating the bryopsis you just pictured that is growing on the corals??? Bryopsis IS Satan. My scribbled rabbitfish will only eat it if i hit it with boiling water first. I know i recommended them to you in your other thread....... But i have to tell you something........i did a lot of research on it and they are one of the more likely fish that WILL eat the stuff.....but even then only 50% or less of them. I bought mine hoping they would......but they didnt except for under the circumstances i described. Bryopsis will grow when all the other nuisance algaes wont. I battled with that crap....ended up blow torching a bunch of rock...covering the stuff up with epoxy and glue. I finally beat it but it wasnt pretty. I had this one patch that was growing out of the underside of a scroll..........i couldnt for the life of me get it to stop. I ended up tossing half the coral as i didnt want to risk it reintroducing it to my tank. Sorry to be a pessimist......but that stuff caused me much pain. I will offer this.......absolutely under no circumstances try to pick that stuff off in your tank. It spreads by fragmentation........if you are going to pick it off, take the rock or coral out of the tank to do it.
  20. cool...they are neat fish....i actually have one in each of my tanks. Lucky to find one locally so easy.
  21. It looks just like it does in this pic i took 3.5 months ago..........but with a little saltcreep on it now. Ill clean it off for ya though. It wasnt enough pump for what i wanted to do......i swapped it out with a Hammerhead heres some more info and specs http://www.saltycritter.com/pumps/sequence_reeflo.htm
