Way cool. Could you do a MJmod on a smaller maxijet? I would be concerned about having too much flow in a 75g tank & am thinking of a smaller version. Your thoughts. Cuda

I have bought some gear from underwater works in tigard & they seemed to be pretty descent. One thing to consider is to make sure the dive shop has the pool in house. I have talked to some people that got their certification at a shop in portland that did not have the pool there & it was a pain. We got certified in vancouver but that is probably a little far for you to travel. Cuda

I am still willing to donate pairs of ocelleris clowns to the teachers for the classroom tanks. I will have batches ready every 2-3 week for at least the next 3 months. Dave

Well it has been a couple of weeks since I updated this thread so I thought I'd post a couple more pics. The first batch of ocellaris clowns are now sold. Thanks to Woody @ Seahorse Aaquarium & Steve @ Rose City Aquarium they are now looking for new homes(clap). There were only 17 from the first batch but there are 72 more from the 2nd hatch that will be ready in about 3 more weeks. I now have 6 tanks on the system with fish in them. Tomorrow I will get a seventh one drilled & flowing water through it also. I have also been a glass cutter lately making custom glass tops for the tanks. I have the hinges & handles on order that should be here any day to make them complete. Here is an updated shot. A little closer look at the new lights & six tanks. I will try to get some drain & sump pics up soon. Cuda

I have read that a lot of people don't like uv sterilizers on reef tanks as they think that they remove beneficial bacteria that the reef tank needs. On the other hand some people swear by them. I'd do some research before adding it. Just my .02 Cuda

Were these 2 clowns in a group when you bought them? It sounds like they were both males and now that there are only 2 one may be turning into the female. The larger more dominant fish will be the female if this is the case. Cuda

After the intial walk thru with shannon we were thinking 4-6 circuits plus by the time you run that many wires 125' you are better running a sub-panel. Local access to the breakers & the ability to load the circuits as light as you want. Cuda

Dorian, I am in Vancouver also & would be happy to double check your hydrometers with my refractometer if you'd like. I threw my hydrometer away once I got the refractometer. Cuda

I would love to try some bangaii cardinals if I could come up with a breeding pair of parents. I am not committed to clowns but having access to 3 pairs of breeding clowns makes it easier. I am going to try to see if I can get the owners of the firefish that I am raising to work out a deal & sell them to me. We'll see how that goes. Cuda

I have tried to take a few pics of the firesfish babies but they are still too small to get the camera to focus on. They were hatched on 7/21/07 so they are approx 20 days old now. I have 3 day old ocellaris fry that are larger. As soon as I can get a pic I will get it posted. Cuda
