  1. I will either sell them or trade them in to a LFS for credit on something else. It is really cool having the babies but it can be quite a bit of work. The hardest part i have found so far is the rotifers. I have had one crash so far but it is getting easier with time. I have switched from live nano to the rotifer diet from reed for feeding the rotifers. It is a double edged sword though. You don't have all the 2 litre bottles of nano brewing all the time but it is easy to over feed the rotifers & pollute the tank vs. the live nano lives in the tank until consumed. The live nano however has the potential to ph shock the rotifers if overfed. It is a little more expensive for the rotifer food vs. live. I also have just gotten a little bottle of the roti-rich from Florida Aqua Farms but i am not sure if I like it yet. It has yeast & some other things in it that I am concerned about but does have some extra vitamins. From what I have read the yeast based foods can stimulate faster reproduction but are not nearly as nutricous for the larvae so I will probable switch back to the rotifer diet from reed when time to start feeding the new larvae.
  2. Are they over there now? I may have seen them yesterday.
  3. Right now the juvenilles are fed 3X a day with Otohime size A. I had the babies on rotifers only for the fisrt 5 days. At day five I started to introdue freshly hatched brine so that the larger larvae would start to switch over. At day 12 the rotifers were stopped as it appeared all the babies had taken to the brine. At around day 14 or 15 I started to intorduce otohime size A from reed mariculture. If I remember right the otohime A is similar in size to freshly hatched brine ( i need to confirm though.) Last week i stopped the brine so they are on otohime only right now. I really like the otohime as it is sized for the stages of juvenilles. I am going to open the otohime B later today & see if they are ready for that.
  4. How much do you want for them. How long have they been toghether? Thanks
  5. My wife is interested, do you have any pics? Thanks
  6. Here are some pics today. Sorry for the time lapse but the next batch will be documented much better.
  7. Here are the eggs as we brought them home.
  8. I thought i would post some pics of the clownfish babies that I have been trying to raise this last 5 weeks. I am sorry that i don't have many pics but the digital camera was set at 5 mp & i can't get them on the site. Thanks for the help & advice from Jordan & Jmanrow to get this project going. I currently do not have a pair of clowns that are breeding but I am working on that. I have a frien d that has a pair of true percs, ocellaris, & gold banded maroons that are all laying eggs that i have access to. My first batch that i chose was a clutch of ocellaris. We brought them home around day 7 as they started to turn silver. The first nite the circulation was not right & half the eggs died. The air was moved to circulate over the eggs better. Night 2 yielded 3 hatch, all of which died the first day. At this point I was getting discouraged but thought I would give it one more nite. That night approx 70 larvae hatched. Boy was I excited. It is now day 35 & I still have 26 left!! I am going to bring home another batch tomorrow & try again. This has definately been a learning experience. Anyway here are a couple pics.
  9. A wok NO ballast will not power t-5. the 40w ballast is a magnetic ballast & t-5 require an electronic ballast to operate.
  10. If in doubt contact the manufacturer with your questions. They usually have a 800 number & a tech support line. They can clarify it usually very quickly.
  11. It sounds like we have a lot of wow'ers out there. I have like 6 characters on the norgannon server. If anyone likes to play the game solo a lot then check out this site. http://www.wow-pro.com/ check out Jame's leveling guides horde & even alliance chapters. really cool guides to level your character in the least amount of time. I have run my orc hunter to level 54 now entirely solo.
  12. Here are a couple of photo's of the one i built.
  13. I have built a playset/playhouse a few years back. My wife picked up the swingset hardware kit like you can buy at home depot & then I modified it to have a A-frame like a swing set would have at one end & butt into the playhouse at the other side. It sounds a little confusing but i'll round up a picture or two for you to see. We have been very pleased & the entire project ended up costing around $600. I even sided it with hardi plank to match the house. Cuda
  14. Honda's are notorious for having a chirping sound. Usually the belts.
  15. DO NOT connect the pigtail to the load side. The outlet will not work properly. GFCI outlets have 2 ways to function. (1st) If you pigtail the wires & connect to the LINE side it will only protect that outlet. (2nd) If you are able to identify the line & load side of the receptacle you can connect it that way. The way to identify is to shut off the circuit breaker & disconnect the wires. Make sure the wires are not touching anything & turn the breaker back on. Using a meter identify which black & white wires have 120 volts on them now. Turn the breaker back off now & connect those wires to the line side. Connect the other wires to the load side. I would not reccommend this as all equipment downline of the GFCI is now protected & has the potential to trip the gfci & the tank. Pigtailing to the line side only protects the tank & will still continue to allow power to the rest of the circuit if the gfci trips. There is not a 5 outlet gfci made that i know of. The best way is to install a gfci outlet & plug in a surge strip. Cuda
  16. Do you still have some rock left. I need some (20-30lbs)? Let me know. PM Sent Cuda

    I had the ushio 10k for a while & switched to a 15k. I love the 15k!!!. Cuda
  18. Very cool project. Can't wait to see how it progresses. Cuda
  19. Jay, Looks awesome. I wouldn't change a thing. Dave
  20. I don't know if this is the best but i started out at 3hrs a day increasing it by 1 hr weekly until the desired photo period was achieved. I am at 6 hrs a day now after 4 wks. This is what was recommended to me by one of our sponsor LFS. Cuda
  21. Well the lights just came on & here is an updated photo after the tank has run overnight. Looks good so far. Now just going to move some of the corals & leathers. I kind of like the rocks for now.
  22. Way cool light fixture!!! (clap) I am thinking about upgrading to a 8x54 kit for my 75g. Where did you get the parts? Cuda
  23. Well I have been trying to upgrade my old 55g tank for a while now & the wife really wasn't going for it. Last weekend she said that I could so before she changed her mind I had a new tank in the garage (with her approval fisrt). Today the swap out happened & here are a few pics of it. I could not have done it as easily as I did without the help of Pat from Fanta-seas. Thanks again Pat.(clap) The first pic is after about 30 minutes of the tank being up this afternoon. The second was a few minutes ago after about 4 hrs. Shaping up nicely. Now a little aquascaping tomorrow (although I think it looks pretty good for just throwing the rock in & not bing able to see it.) & relocating a few corals & I am good to go for a while.
