  1. Now I’m thinking 4 radion XR15w G4 Pro’s. I will probably add some t5’s also. I’m not keeping sps currently. If I did they would go directly under the lights. I would probably add another in the future.
  2. Unfortunately even though it is a great deal, my wife would kill me if I spent $2600 on lights. That is the struggle of a large tank. I am leaning towards the reefbreeders if I can find them in stock.
  3. Ok I’m calling on all the experts. I’m looking to upgrade the lighting on my 8x2x2 240 gallon mixed reef. I’m current running 4 reef star leds that are on their last legs. Some of the lights I have been looking at: cheaper: 5 ocean revive, 5 Noopsyche k7 pro mid range: 2 reefbreeder photon v2+ 48 upper range: 3 kessil A360x or 2 ap700 I’m open to suggestions. My budget isn’t unlimited but I want the most bang for my buck. I like the reefi but they are probably out of my price range for an 8 foot tank.
  4. I’m a grocery store manager. Let me tell you what a little slice of hell this is. Unlike medical workers, we have little to no PPE and get to see hundreds of people a day. Full families still coming in with kids touching everything. Stores are a social hotspot. Here in Lane County, people don’t get it. I see some people every day, some several times a day. People are pushy, unapologetic and demanding. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great people out there looking out for our well being, but there are a large quantity of people that need to wake up and realize that this is not a vacation. The first weekend of the shutdown we had a massive amount of people headed to the coast. This is going to get worse before it gets better. Please when you go out, be respectful to your retail workers who are just trying to get through the day as safely as possible.
  5. Ok the transition is completed. There might be a couple of one offs, but everything should be cleaned up now. The new subscription software is working very well. Jay
  6. Also I have turned back on renewals so we have expiration dates. Keep in mind if you choose to use renewals, then paypal will set up renewals and if you want to cancel, you will need to go into your paypal profile to turn it off. Jay
  7. So I spent the time pruning all of the users that should not be supporting members and then did the converstion to the new subscribtion software. The conversion reverted all the changes I made so I will have to go in and do it again. Oh well at least the new software is more organized and easier to spot the ones I need to revert. That is a job for tomorrow night. Jay
  8. We are cleaning up our membership file. It has come to our attention that a large number of members are listed as supporting members that have not paid their dues. A little history. When we set up the paid membership program, it asked every member if they would like to set up autorenewals. We thought this was a great idea that our members could stop when ever they wanted to. What we found out is that even though a member would opt out of autorenewals on our site, paypal would still pay the autorenewal. It was up to each member to go into paypal to cancel the autorenewal. We turned off autorewals at this site so this would not happen. Inadvertantly this turned off the expiration dates of our supporting members. They would not revert back to regular members after their supporting member status was over. So now I am cleaning that up and we will be starting a new subscription system once it is cleaned up. If you feel that you have been removed in error, please PM me and I will get this fixed. Jay
  9. Regular members are reminded by the fact that they will no longer see the members sections. Unfortunately, board members supersede the system. I will see what we can do about that. Jay
  10. @shaywood Your membership is good until 3/19/2020. Jay
  11. Very busy with the holidays. Christmas Day is my only day off for 2 weeks. I’ll get to it as soon as possible.
  12. Would you be willing to ship it. I’m just south of Eugene.
  13. I manage a Grocery Store. Been working for the same company for 25 years.
  14. Weird. I didn’t know you could log in with an email.
  15. It was called Flashchat. It’s still around, but I don’t think it is an option for us. We don’t own our server space anymore. Since the migration to Invision Power Board, we trade amazing stability for limited customization. There are some great add-ons out there. I will do some digging and see if there is a chat add-on that could work for us.
  16. Oh yeah. R2R2’s shop in Salem was Advanced Aquarium. What an amazing and knowledgeable guy.
  17. So glad Ryan aka R1 aka krux was able to fill in some of the time before I came on board. Ryan and James were a big influence on me in the beginning. They had a vision for the club that was amazing. I wanted to see it grow. I’ve been in the background for a while now. I can’t believe I’ve held out for this long. I came in at the end of undergravel filters. I’ve seen lights go from metal halide to t5’s to leds. Skimmers go from air stones to beckets to recirc to cones. I got in when closed loops were a thing. I can’t wait to see where this hobby goes in the future. How will the club transform. I hope it does not go to Facebook, the way other clubs have gone. I hope we always have volunteers that want to take up the thankless jobs as officers and bod. I know I appreciate each and every one of them. Past and present.
  18. Same here Jeremy. I’m on IOS and it is pretty peppy. Not slow at all.
  19. I can only give you info on the club as far back as I know. The club was around for quite a while before I came around. Members like Jmanrow and krux have been around longer. I started to go to the monthly meetings in late 2005. It was an exciting time. The club wanted to become a non profit so we could accept donations from large corporations, charge for premium membership, bring in speakers, etc. so we developed our articles of incorporation in Feb of 2006, voted in our officers and board of directors and started our first charter membership. I was the secretary during our initial charter membership. We didn’t have our own website. We had a sub forum on The Reef Tank forum. It’s still there and we would use it from time to time when this site would go down. That hasn’t happened for a while now. This site is very stable. I was President for 3 or 4 years and admin as soon as we started our own website and have been ever since (except for a brief period after a very bad crash). Unfortunately, this hobby will chew you up and spit you out. I myself have started over after 2 tank crashes. Many of our original members have come and gone. Some come back after some time off. There was a charter member book that we all signed, but I do not know if it is still around. There are a lot of great people here. Welcome to the PNWMAS.

  21. I caught this problem sometime last summer. Now manual member do not renew. There are a few that will. I can’t stop it. I will cancel them if I see them pending in the future.
  22. Weird. Manual memberships should never be renewable. That had to be an admin mistake. I’ll look into it when I get a chance.
  23. Ok. I wasn't sure. I checked websites of places I was unsure of but some did not say.
  24. For now I have some Shop Local banners on the local sites. I would like to have a mapquest link for each sight up with a general area description like NE Portland etc. More to come Jay
