  7. Anyone with some extra Gel Icepacks.. could you freeze and bring what you can spare tomorrow? There is a refrigerator/freezer at Oleson Woods Community Center that will keep them frozen till people need them. Thanks!
  8. THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS AIR CONDITIONED! The wholesalers use icepacks in the styro boxes. Its much better for the critters to be on the cool side, than overheated! THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS AIR CONDITIONED! It's set at 74F.
  9. I would still be cautious about putting anything in there that is "feeder size".
  10. Kalkwasser(Calcium hydroxide) works great in Aiptasia, I wish it worked as well on Mojanos. Try "Joe's Juice". It's available at many LFS or online.

  14. CHAT TONIGHT 8:00 PM Topic: Any of the latest forum discussions... floor support, redbugs & flatworms, BBQ, or any new topics! Any suggestions? (brick) (hitme)
  15. Here's the plan Keith... Just have Roy, along with me & Bob stand in the general area of where the tank will be, and if it holds, no worries. If it dosen't, you and Roy can do a patch job and reinforce the floor. rofl
  16. The Flatworm Exit will kill all the flatworms usually within a few minutes. Be sure to read all the precautions about water changes, using carbon, etc. http://www.hobbyoutletsales.com/Salifert/from2006/Flatworm.pdf
  17. Salifert Flatworm Exit seems to be the best remedy around. Many of our LFS Sponsors carry this product. Works very fast!
  18. Yes. Be sure that everyone helping with the cleanup signs the registration and waiver form. http://www.solv.org/volunteers/safety_info.asp
  19. The Tillamook Creamery is in the area for those wanting to visit before or after the cleanup. http://www.tillamookcheese.com/VisitorsCenter/ We can have our lunch on the beach. People having small BBQ grills might bring them along.
  20. Someone suggested the Tillamook area a couple of meetings ago, so I posted Tillamook as a tentative cleanup site in the forum. No one objected, so we went with that location to meet. It seems like a good central location for club members. Currently, our membership range is mainly from southern Washington State to the Eugene, Oregon area. Anyway... Stacy has visions of Cheese Curds dancing in her head. (dancing) (dancing) (dancing) (dancing) <== Cheese Curds
  21. Express Check-In Registration and Waiver Form http://www.solv.org/volunteers/safety_info.asp
  22. I've been keeping aquariums 40 years and that's a new one one me.
  23. As mentioned in this article by Scott Michael, a good soaking in a bleach/tap water solution will sterilize tank and equipment. Many times I have used vinegar to remove residual traces of bleach, but only after a thorough rinsing of everything with tap water. A good dose of dechlor will do the same thing. http://www.aquariumfish.com/aquariumfish/printer.aspx?aid=624&cid=3791
