islandVib3s
I'm making the switch to all for reef and wondering how much pple are dosing for a stocked 100 gallon mixed reef tank. I'm trying to plan ahead for my trip which will be a month long and how much stuff I need to prepare and which doser you all would recommend. I was thinking something programmable. I also have 5L containers I ordered. I'm also running a avast kalk reactor but I want to start adding the traces and other additive I usually hand dose. Picture of my setup for attention and that this will be going on.it will hit 1yrs old jan 1st!
obrien.david.j
Good looking tank. And I'm impressed it takes three remote controls to keep it running. (Can't help you with all for reef. I'm a CaReactor/Kalk user.)
Greg123
You’ll probably be around 25 to 50 ML a day would highly recommend you buy a magnetic stirrer off Amazon and make your own it is super easy. Jeff.Tichenor
Here is the calculator for all-for-reef. https://www.tropic-marin-smartinfo.com/all-for-reef?lang=en Here is a R2R thread.. ShoeCrew
I use ghl KH director. It has a free dosing head which I use for the dosing all for reef. I use 25 ml per day, it keeps my tank at 9 dkh. I did not set the ghl to dynamically to adjust the dosing amount for all for reef, since I only measure twice a day. It is just 5 times a day, 5ml/dose. In addition, I make a 20g water change once a week. The whole system is around 150g. (4x2x2, sump+20g tote refugium) I left this system for vacation for 3 weeks during the summer without any loss or impact. I have mostly montipora, leptos, cyphestrea, chalice and Zoas. All the hard corals are relatively small though.

The Hydros doser needs the Hydros controller. Just FYI

Totroc3
I use 45ml on my Reefer 350. I use an Apex DOS. It took a while for me to figure out how much to dose so leave yourself enough time to dial it in. My corals thrive using AFR. Like ShoeCrew, I also do 20 gallon water changes weekly.
