I bought some reactors and they need unions, but the ones I have (spears brand) won’t fit. All the local plumbing places seem to only carry spears brand =( If your going to use 1/2 hose HD sells barb 1/2 valves in the sprinkler section,its blk and green turn valve, thats what I'm using and they're amazing and not hard to turn also didn't see any metal parts on them.
