shaywood
Installed an auto flush on my RODI system. Is it normal to make a hissing noise when activated? Background noise is the booster pump. P.s. what exactly does the flush do? Edited October 7, 2020 by shaywood
Micah
Is the sound just your waste line blasting water? Because it should be. That's the sound I hear when I open my manual flush valve.
TheClark
Cool! I need one. I think the flush dumps the first bit of water, which will have high TDS when first starting up.
Spschampion
Sounds like rushing water to me. I think all the auto flush deal is a solenoid on a timer. The flush before and after using the RODI is to clean out the membrane. Supposed to make it last longer. Hope this helps, Pete
SuncrestReef
Yes, that's the exact same sound mine makes. You're just hearing the water rush through unrestricted. Completely normal.
