rbeyer80
I'm considering getting back in the led game and looking at either a reef breeders photon v2 or rapid led corona over my 40b. I've read the reef breeder photon 24 works well over a 40b but may need 2 coronas. Anyone on here have experience with either of these two? Any feedback appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
youcallmenny
I have a 48" Photon V2 and a 24" Photon V2 over my display and frag tanks respectively. They grow coral really well and have pretty warm colors for LED's in my opinion. I can't speak from a comparative perspective but can vouch for Reefbreeders for sure. TheClark
I was eyeballing the Photon V2, but cannot speak from experience. Ended up going with Ocean Revive's just because so darn many nice tanks run them and they are a nice value. You cannot go wrong most likely with either choice, good luck choosing! spectra
Corona will not cover a 40B sorry. I won one from Rudy and used it over a 36" tank and it just wasn't enough. I ended up going with a nanobox quad and to be honest it will cover a 40B all day long. Colors are amazing and the controllability is awesome with the nanobox lights. Price point may be a few dollars more but after running a few tanks with the these lights I can not complain. I even get thunderstorms with the light.......clouds go over during the day its just a neat set up...... Good luck with your choice.
Lexinverts
I'd get 2 coronas or check out Daniel's Reefi lights
Bicyclebill
I tried the coronas, but was not able to get them to work correctly with my frontier internet service. Rapidled tried to help, but in the end I sent them back. I think the photon is a solid choice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gunnyreefer
I ran the photon 48v2 over my 48l x24w x16h And I was able to grow all corals. If I remember correctly I had them about 14"-16" above waterline. Easy to control great customer service. I am currently running a rapid led 24 led dimmable kit over a 8 gal biocube.
