reefhut
update!! Plumbing almost done For those wondering if I'll ever get this done, the sump room is all sheet rocked and painted. I'm plumbing the tank this week. I've made alot of progress. Check it out. The sump room floor is foam anti fatigue squares. The foam squares have been cut to drop the 3/4X 24inch hardwood planks in to support the sump and sump stand. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g262/thereefspot/DSC_0007Medium.jpg[/img]"] Oceans motions 4-way http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g262/thereefspot/DSC_0006Medium.jpg[/img]"] The tank is moved out from the wall to access the plumbing then pushed back...:-) http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g262/thereefspot/DSC_0009Small.jpg[/img]"] Plumbing through the window access....thing's are going to be tight! reefhut
yeah..I'm a slacker for sure. To much stuff going on right now and I don't want to rush it. One mistake with this setup and I'm screwed. I need some good weather and brew's(clap). The sump's dim's are 4'L X 20H X 18D. It should handle what I need. SamatSLS
Shannon, I've been staring at that picture of your sump/plumbing for 15 minutes. It make sense now but I have a headache! Post pics of your bad-@$$ reflectors. I heard you got good ones!! -Sam
reefhut
Well...LIGHTS! WATER! ACTION! That's right my tank is finally up and running...I'm very pleased with how things came out...I'll get some more spec's out later, but I figured people would want some pic's. Oh yea. My new relectors are the Lumen Max 2's and they rock! Check it out and tell me what you think. Lumen Max 2's with coral view 20k bulb's driven by Sunlight Supplies HQI ballasts wired 240 volt. Supplment lighting 4/VHO's driven driven by Ice Cap 660. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g262/thereefspot/DSC_0018Medium.jpg[/img]"] Now all I need is fish (scratch)
chewie
Sweet! You'll like that intake screen for sure. Mine has been running 2 months, and hasn't needed cleaning. The added bonus being that it is a MUCH safer intake for Anemones. I guess you're excused for not coming to Shawn's yesterday. I had a cold one for you. Do you already have fish in other systems that will be going in this tank? If so, Whatcha' got?

andy
Ahhh, Aquatic Ecosystems.. should'a known. I got their catalog in the mail a while back -- it's crazy fun reading.
SamatSLS
Shannon, Looks amazing!!! I have to suggest that you use glass on the Lumen Max 2's. The smooth material (Alanod Miro 7) stains over time with saltwater splash... Using glass may cut down ever so slightly on the output, but a stained reflector is much worse. Glass can be cleaned... reefhut
Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Chewie: It was such a nice day Sunday, that my wife had a long honey due list for me. I couldn't tell her "Not Today" after she allowed time for me to finish my system. Sorry I wasn't able to make it, next time for sure.
