My bioload is pretty heavy and another reason I'm not running a skimmer on this system. But I do plan on adding a fresh air source later via a air bubbler outside and long tube to bubble in sump. I just got some two little fishes biopellets and I'm think of switching from gfo to biopellets. From what I've read it's basically carbon dosing and usually replacing pellets every 2 months. I'll be using a basic 2littlefishes pump reactor and just enough flow to tumble. Any tips and tricks would be appreciated. I'll be running it on my sca 120 with sump and 2 refugiums cheato and cullerpa on 10hr timer. I'm just changing things up to make it a little easier for maintaining. I'm also switching from instant ocean to neo marine for lower alk reasons.

Yes it varies. Most pple use skimmers for the extra ph boost from the bubbling.

Yes I use gravity. Fresh on top of mixed. Spigot should be in lower portions of containers. https://a.co/d/dFi3dZu

You can keep it simple, 2 big containers and ball valves with bulk heads and barb hose fittings to connect hoses. I just open rodi valve to fill mix water. Only float valve on rodi vat. Drop in heater and powerhead for mixing.

Honestly I didn't test, I saw all the build up of algae and the auto feeder emptied.fish were fat and I had 10 fish in there while I was gone. It's mostly cleared up with a few waterchanges before I started dosing bacterias. I also added a fresh bag of sand so I had some diatoms aswell. All the rock were tank transfers so I'd probably date it to 3yrs running in tanks. The bioload I had in it was just too heavy and my refugium wasn't ready to take it all up just yet. Also no skimmer in this setup, just double refugium w cheato and caulerpa. Also no uv installed just yet. I'll install it when I'm done dosing bacterias.

Yea I'm going to set it to 1x a day. I also removed some fish so I don't need to feed as much.

I appreciate everyone. I'm going to give it some time to settle before I introduce more, I'm also currently dosing bacteria to get it ready. Micro7,Dr tims,fritz to be sure. Yea I think I messed up on the 2x daily feeding and should have kept it at 1x. 🤦‍♂️ this one definitely hurt and put me on the fence.

I suffered a large loss while on vacation. I lost all my sticks and euphyllia. Due to high nitrates and phosphates from auto feeder and pellets.
