  1. I have a custom Glasscages 48"Lx30"Wx24"H tank with dual returns on the back pane that's been sitting on my floor for the last couple of years. Never seen water. Wanted to get a custom stand, but never did and now I'm taking a break from the hobby since I started an exterior cleaning business. (hit me up if you need anything lol) The 3 viewing panels are low iron glass. 3/4" glass with reinforced corners. I paid $3,200 including shipping, but selling for $2,300. Comes with the ghost overflow box. It's collected quite a bit of dust, but I'll clean it off for whoever wants it. You must come pick it up here in Salem. Also selling some fish if you're interested. Yellow eye kole tang- Sold Whitetail bristletooth tang $150- Sold Female watanabei angelfish $200- Sold
  2. Awesome. You'll really appreciate the flatter surfaces. It turns out placing corals on vertical rockscape is hard because pretty much anything planted above it will shadow what's below.
  3. Unfortunately a personal matter has come up and I won't be able to pick up anytime soon. I'll have to sit this out. I was looking forward to this. Sorry everyone.
  4. Seems like a lot of work for feeding only on vacation. The fish will survive, well actually thrive, just fine off of pellets and a $20-$30 feeder. Think of it like when mom takes a night off and dad cooks his special kraft mac and cheese with hotdogs. Not the most nutritional, but the little ones will be just fine.
  5. First and foremost, I pray you get better soon! I'm not uncomfortable with picking it up, but it'd be a bummer to not check out the tank. As long as we confirm we can extend the date, I'd like to pick mine up when you're feeling better. Thanks for organizing this and keeping us up to date despite being sick.
  6. Beautiful. I'm going to have to set one of these up for my wife when we buy a house...okay maybe for me as well. Turns out I've taken interest in her tropical plant hobby. I seem to be addicted to spending money.
  7. Hey @reefrun, is there a quick tank tour included in picking up the frag? Does that cost extra? I've seen some pretty cool looking pics you've posted for the Blood Bank growout on R2R and I'm curious to see what's under the hood.
  8. I'd love to join if there's some room! These are really fun!
  9. 170 par is pretty low for SPS. Not sure if that's your problem, but I recently watched one of my healthy looking acro frags RTN all but one branch. I was already suspecting light levels were too low, so I moved the frag up higher once it started happening. I believe that's why I was able to save the 1 branch since that's all I changed. Your parameters listed don't raise any red flags. Hopefully it's something as simple as turning up the lights. As others have said though, an ICP test helps eliminate many hidden killers.
  10. Nice! Helps to have a hookup for sure. I've always have a good time there. Love that they have LRS as it's my favorite food to feed.
  11. No. I do live in Salem, but I'm not starting a store. I've got 1 40 breeder with new acro frags and 2 FOWLR tanks that I've been meaning to tear down. It wasn't meant as an insult. I was just curious as to why there was a high turnover rate.
  12. This is a great looking tank. I wish I could have that kind of success.
  13. I don't know you personally, but I know by reputation that you're always selling setups like this. Do you run a store or do you just get bored easily?
  14. Well it's definitely looking great in the meantime! What's the acro next to it? Healthy looking corals for sure! You're doing something right.
  15. Nice colony! Are you willing to frag a piece and share (for a price)? I live in Salem, but I'd be happy to drive up for a piece and maybe some of your other pieces if you have others.
  16. I have the Ruby Tipped Granny from Battlecorals. Is this the same piece you're looking for? It's just a frag right now, but I can get you a piece if you're willing to wait and I can keep it alive and growing.
  17. @CuttleFishandCoral has sticks. Jeff is a solid guy. Worth the short drive.
  18. It makes sense. I believe the reason we don't see more widespread success with peppermint shrimp is because they are usually kept and fed in our display tanks and have no need to eat the aiptasia. Yours just had a ton to feast on. They've obviously got a taste for them, so hopefully you won't need to do anything else other than wait. It's been fun watching the progression! Thank you for documenting this!
  19. I have a bashsea sump on another tank. It's loud and the 2nd panel separating the skimmer and return pumps is no longer sealed at the bottom, so water and detritus can go underneath. I don't think I'll be giving them my money anymore. I know they have probably done great sumps for some, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
  20. Following along. This could be interesting. You could market and charge for your apitasia destroying services if it works. I'll be your first customer. My only concern is they won't work fast enough and the aiptasia will continue to spread through plumbing, but maybe with that many it won't matter.
  21. They make some really clean looking stuff. I wonder how it compares price wise to someone like Lifereef. I was going to have him make it for me originally and I still may, but it would be remiss of me if I didn't check around.
  22. I come here for help and instead get this. At some point he must have thought he was helping, but from what I can see he's only said that he doesn't do it, another guy doesn't, and there's an builder in Seattle, but no help on who. Then he sends a link to a random red and white sump that doesn't match what I was talking about and says he's helped, which was sent in satire in the first place. Then out of nowhere makes the "humorous" post, which isn't conveyed as humorous by someone that doesn't know him at all. You're a real manly man for calling someone a "cream puff" in private messages. Grow up.
