  1. Used it on my old 30 gallon hex tank. Upgrades tank and it’s just taking up space now. $20 Location: Salem I travel to Portland frequently so we can plan a meet up if interested.
  2. Love this forum because of the knowledge that is shared on this group. I’ve gotten most of my corals from people on this forum. Everyone I’ve encountered has been friendly and super chill to deal with. @Jose antonino, this guy here was been extremely helpful when I couldn’t take care of my reef aquarium. I was injured and he stepped in to provide help by maintaining my reef aquarium
  3. Welcome, looking forward to your post and shared knowledge
  4. It does look a lot like it, but its actually a WWC Flux Capacitor Acro
  5. 8 months of growth, slowly getting there. I am loving how bright it is
  6. Quick question everyone. I notice that in the past month my Nitrates started to slowly creep up. It was @ 1 PPM but now it’s @ 12 PPM. Nitrite and Ammonia @ 0, no change here Phosphate @ 0.1 PPM, no change here. My corals are doing fine, even starting to get more color. Should I be concerned that my nitrates keep increasing? What are you parameters levels @? Anyone have a Nitrate level higher than 12 PPM?
  7. Looking to buy this fixture, who has one? If you have anything else feel free to post what you got and price. Thanks in advance
  8. I gotta ask. I am reaching a point where my Alkalinity decreases by 1 dkH every day. Currently, I manually dose fritz Alk and Ca twice a day (16 mL each, twice per day) Now, here comes the questions 1. Should I look into automatic dosing now that Alkalinity is slowly being consumed by more than 1 dkH per day. 2. Should I get an automatic doser as well as something that would automatically test parameters for 3. What automatic system are you using now? 4. Any other advice?
  9. Supporting Member: One free ticket for the MP10 and another for the MP40 please.
  10. I dealt with a cyano and dyno outbreak almost a year ago. Here were my steps on how I tackled them 1. Introduced Phytoplankton (Reef Nutrition Phyto Feast). Can easily be bought at your local fish store 2. Introduced Beneficial Bacteria ( Microbacter 7, Tim's Waste Away, and Vibrant). Bought on Bulk Reef Supply. Follow instructions on bottle closely. 3. Syphoned all the Cyano and Dinos every 2-3 days by attaching a filter sock @ the end of the siphon tube. The filter sock collected all the cyano/dino and was later soaked in a bucket with Vinegar then washed. 4. Started introducing frozen food instead of pellets. Depending on the pellet foods that you are using, if any, this could be increasing you phosphates and nitrates to undesirable level. I avoided the typical routine of messing with trying to dial in nitrates and phosphates. I figured that the bad bacteria has taken over and it was time to introduce good bacteria to outcompete the bad bacteria. Also, you phosphate and nitrate levels aren't too high to warrant any sort of problem. Well maybe decrease you nitrates to 1-3 PPM With this strategy, I was able to completely get rid of cyano/dinos within 1.5 months. Just know that this outbreak took months to develop and to show up and you should expect it to take just as long or longer to get rid off. Hope this helps.

  16. Hey everyone, so I need some advice on dosing Reef Roids. How Much? How Often? Best time of day? Mix with water? What other things should I look for after I dose ( parameter wise)? Did it ever increase your Nitrates/Phophates considerably and cause Dino/Cyano? Just give me the full details on how you go about it and what sort of benefits or downsides you got because of it. My tank info 60 gallon cube w/sump. Currently have a refugium with no protein skimmer. I have a skimmer in the sump, but don’t operate it anymore because i try to maintain a dirty tank, which is hard to do when I have it operating. Parameters Nitrate: 1 PPM Phosphate: 0.058 PPM pH: 8-8.15 Calcium: 465 PPM kH: 10.2 Magnesium: 1350 PPM
  17. Pm when this becomes available. How much would you want for it?
